LithogenStreetTest

Testing a 7 antenna element Spidar PulseEkko 250 rig (6 channels of 60cm separation data). Lithogen Inc. built this custom cart for a client as an R&D project. This video once again features my driveway, the most famous driveway in geophysics -- and terrible audio ;)
The modular nature of the Spidar system allows for pretty arbitrary GPR design parameters. We also decided to make this cart modular too, allowing anything from 2 to 7 detachable antenna bays. It'll also take PulseEkko 500 and 1000 MHz antennas, and anything from the Noggin lineup (except the 100 MHz). If you have a SmartChariot, the core of this cart might look familiar.
Cost to build custom carts will vary depending on design and what you're hanging from it. For example, had to have custom skid plates machined for this particular frequency and geometry combo. Let us know if you're looking for some custom work in the Sensors & Software Inc. lineup and we'll do our best to build something that uses as many first party Sensoft parts as we can, plus a few Lithogen custom parts where needed.

Indeed! However (paraphrasing): "No plan of operations extends with certainty beyond the first encounter with the real world environment." -- Michael Scott, probably.

It's a ground penetrating radar -- no idea how youtube decided that this video would end up in people's feeds. I'll update the description a bit I guess :)

No idea why I’m here but super cool! Is this the sort of thing to help find utilities before digging or am I way off mark?

Yes :) Usually you'd run with one sensor though, with a much smaller push-cart. This cart is set up to cover a lot of ground much quicker where there aren't a lot of obstacles :)

That's pretty cool. Would love to see how you render the data

Unfortunately youtube won't let me embed images in the comments. If you have LinkedIn,a screenshot of the data from this test is shown there: www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7136475394706198528/

If he is in my front yard and less than 6' down, probably. Or rather, I'd see the soil has been disturbed in one spot -- and then I'd have to be motivated enough to dig it up.
