Profile :
Rijo Miyamoto is an Ikebana Artist (Kado-ka) and the vice-head of the Koryu Toyokai Suibokuka Temae. He was born in 1976 in Tokyo. He started learning Ikebana from his grandmother (the founder of Koryu Toyokai), mother (second generation head of the family) and Riho Miyamoto at the age of 2. He started demonstrating Ikebana at displays when he was in university. He has displayed his works at the International Ikebana World Championships and the Japan Ikebana Exhibition. He became vice-head of the family in 2009.
He has been invited to exhibitions in Tunisia, the “Janadriya” in Saudi Arabia and an international festival called “the Heart of Japan” hosted by the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He has also held demonstrations in Moscow, Russia and other countries worldwide. He has been rewarded the All Japan Ikebana Competition Special Rewards and more. He is a member of the Japan Ikebana Art Association and Ikebana International.

Your mother is beautiful, thank you for sharing her photo. Today, May 12, is a day to honor mother's here in the United States of America. I can't think of a better way to honor here by watching you create a beautiful arrangement in her memory. I am sad for your loss. My dad died last year. 💔
My condolences on the loss of your mother. It was great that you filmed her performance several times and you shared her picture, so we got to know such a beautiful and capable woman. I believe she is very proud of what you have done and contributed to the long lasting of your school and this art. I appreciate each video you created and thanks to the cameraman as well. He asked great questions and I do enjoy your conversation besides the flower arrangement.

My condolences on the loss of your mother. It's something we're never ready for. I wonder whether you know you are posting this arrangement for her on the day that's Mother's Day in North America.
