Journey and Inspiration:
* Inspired by starting out as a kid photographer (FUJI Camera for the win)
* Tri-Tech helped prepare him for two years
* Had stops at KNDU and SWX Sports
Career Highlights:
* Has covered Dust Devils, March Madness, Water Follies, Walla Walla Sweets, and countless High School sports and teams
Favorite Sports Memory:
* Photoshoot at March Madness
* Getting to photoshoot with his Dad in the stands is very special to him
Dream Photoshoot:
* A Seahawks game and being on the Media team
Game Day Strategy:
* Sometimes you don’t get to decide where to be; make the most of it
* Other times: You learn by experience
Challenges:
* Camera overheating
* Forgetting SD cards
* Charging batteries
* Figuring out where to shoot from (if you get a choice)
* Softball is the hardest sport to shoot due to circumstances, with golf also being challenging
* Getting smashed in the head by a helmet at a Royal Football game (Be aware of your surroundings!)
Staying Creative:
* Reaches out to other creators' works and learns from his past
Managing Schedule:
* Tries to cover each team once or focuses on teams that are not as well-known
* Prioritizes smaller schools or key matchups
Advice to Aspiring Photographers:
* Start small and keep working your way up
* You do not need something fancy right off the bat
