lister cs diesel HD update

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

this shows how virtually bomb proof cs's are. they have so many uses besides showing them. i thinks that the cs is still one of the best diesel's out there today but they are getting a bit pricey nowadays.

I like older things, enjoy seeing those old engines running they were built very well back then.

when i ran it years ago at the same speed its at now it would run months on a tank full but its not driving any thing and on slow speed. ive been on with a lister auto truck and will be getting back to the lister CS soon. hope that helps for now, i will post more vids when ive serviced it.

@hanomagman yes my mistake it does speed up and slow back down, i think its the rack in the injector pump. it does stick sometimes, i put a bit of oil on and work it back and forth and then its ok (did it on me the other day). ive checked the speed with a laser speed tester and its doing 280 RPM. i will post another vid with the speed showing on my laser tester when we get a nice fine weekend

One of the better CS videos on utube. Beautiful running engine and very well narrated. My advice to anyone who has a CS don't ever sell them. I had a CS three and a half h.p and sold it. I have regretted it ever since as they just pulsate on a summers day and create a sense of calm. I would however keep this "lady" covered from the elements.

Hi The oil pump plunger shouldn't turn round as it does, when the drive cover has been put on the plunger has been incorrectly fitted. The rectangular pad should be long edge so that pad runs against body preventing it from rotating, the cam follower has a half moon end and is being struck on it's edges by cam if it turns like that. Hope this is helpful

Should these have rocker covers, as most of the engines I have seen don't seem to have.

Wonderful old 6/1 and much better than those indian coppies! Are you planning to rally the engine, would look fantastic as is. Phill.

Great old greasy patina on this engine. I hate when they're "restored" and painted up all in weird colors. They look like carnival rides when they're overdone with restoration repainting. I'd much rather see them still working for a living like this one. Nice old Lister. The real stuff.
