Actually, you say that, but I think it’s poetic in a way. Like, think about the actual appearance of Space Junk Galaxy itself; a bunch of discarded items and debris from structures long since abandoned, mixed in with the products of nature itself. Such a visage sounds worthless, and yet juxtaposed among the vastness of the universe, not to mention the way that gravity makes such things “dance” with each other in the vast nothing, it’s a sight to see. So, if actual space junk can seem like art, why not a song by the same name?

The Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack is not only beautiful but it’s really nostalgic. I don’t know what it is but every time I listen to a specific song, I go into a trance and I just reminisce about the simpler times when I was still a kid, especially with “Star Babies”, “Dawn”, “Birth” and “Family” It’s very nice and is why the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack holds a special place in my heart. Truly one of my favorite games of all time and frankly, I don’t think any 3D Mario game is going to top it. Also, Rosalina....

There's actually not a single miss on this soundtrack

This soundtrack never makes me fail to loose a few tears. From the High Dramatic Bowser The Koopa King to the tears ones of Space Junk and Family to the ones that have a great vibe like Beach Bowl, Loopdeloop. The Best Soundtrack of All Time

it’s been 15 years and power to the observatory still gives me goosebumps

SMG's soundtrack is so solid and having almost the entire soundtrack be orchestral makes me almost well up with emotions due to how hard an orchestra goes

Super Mario Galaxy is truly the Gesamtkunstwerk in the modern era. It combines excellent music, story, visuals, and gameplaying in one piece! Wagner would have loved this

I never finished my Wii copy, and eventually sold it. Didn’t hear or seek out the soundtrack until I got the 3D All Stars collection. The second “Luma” kicked on, I cried. Because it was the one song on the soundtrack that consistently made me sad as a kid. Whenever I unlocked another chapter of the book in the library, it just felt sad reading how Rosalina grew up. Such a beautiful track now though. The whole soundtrack is beautiful, but Luma just hits so hard.

I swear, I remember playing this game for the first time ever thinking it would be a cutesy little kids game about Mario going to space... I was not expecting it to make me go on an emotional trip. Mario galaxy isn’t just a time capsule, it’s a time bomb that explodes when you come back in ten years

Definitely the OSTs of this game made this game my favorite of all Mario games, and after this video I still say "Buoy Base Galaxy", "Melty Molten Galaxy" and "Final Battle with Bowser" are my favorite OSTs, thanks man for taking your time for this video :')

The Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack was essential to most of the flash games/animations I enjoyed as a kid. Mainly Super Mario 63, Mario Combat, and some parts of SMBZ. I cherish those memories dearly

I do a 100% playthrough every 3 years for nostalgia and fun because this is my favorite Mario game! That is 50% nostalgia from my first ever game and 50% gameplay, charm, space, graphics, and soundtrack. I bought 3d all-stars and got a Mario/Luigi 100% file, but your intro with the wii makes me want to do my next playthrough on Wii!

This brings back so many memories trying to 120-star this game.

I remember playing Galaxy at a friends house when i was younger. He'd be asleep and id be trying to get all stars. I never had a Wii growing up so it wasnt until 3D All-Stars came out when i finally got all 240 stars. What an absolute masterpiece

My favorite one being the sixth game, Embodiment of scarlet devil. This game soundtrack always give me some strange nostalgic vibes that no other game manage to do. I grew up with this game. I remember getting it on my 6th birthday. That was the birth of many hours playing this God tier game. This brings back so many memorys

i have seen many "listening to so-and-so" OST videos before, but this is my favorite one. it balances what the player roughly hears as they proceed through the game, with comedy, lighter moments with more heartfelt moments, and is just incredible. i'm not even joking, i think i have watched this video five times in the past week. excellent work Chickensfly. wahoo!

Galaxy has one of the best game soundtracks ever. The simple File Select theme is already one of my favourite game tracks, and it's the literal background sound for choosing a game save. From the few memories I have from playing this game years ago, the music just stands out. I gotta play it again soon.
