Lyrics:
so you think you're gonna take her away
with your money and your cocaine
keep thinking that her mind is gonna change
but I know everything is OK
she's gonna listen to her heart
it's gonna tell her what to do
she might need a little loving but she don't need you
you want her to think that she's being used
you want me to think it's over
can't you see it doesn't matter what you do?
buddy you don't even know her
and you can't just creep up behind her
yeah you can't understand that she's my girl
she's my girl

You make brave choices. F*cking excellent music, man.
Half way through this and I had already decided to post this is the best music video of the last several years, then it continues to surprise with more quirky/genius ingredients. Truly great moments in the audio realm and in the video realm. We've had exchanges before in which I compared you to Bill Wurtz, and you said thanks. With this you've got your own spot in the GOAT shortlist. Seriously, this is the best music video of this year.

The production values of this video are pretty wild, love the calculator idea
Wow, the entire last half of the song was incredible! Love the chord changes and the dissonance of the little lead flourishes overtop of the more spacey, shoegaze instrumentation! And oh my god, the visuals - your videos always have good visuals but wow, that was something else! Absolutely in love with this song and video, great work!! 🙏

The amount of effort and skill put into your music videos is incalculably unproportionate to the amount of exposure they get. Hopefully, that will change sooner than later. Keep up the good work.
Love it!
Wild video ! .. liking this!
TI-83 FTW! Nice work on the break away trippiness around 1:42. Sweet.

I think the reason the 'outside' sections are so atmospheric is because there's no people, cars, clutter etc in them. You explained in your 'behind the scenes' video where the footage came from and I think the slightly odd uncanny valley kind of thing intrinsic to that footage totally adds to the odd vibe of the video.

oh yeah totally, 100%. thank you for picking up on that. it definitely feels surreal how wide-open and deserted that world is. probably why it reminds me of suburbia so much. anyway thanks for checking it out

such a great cover of such a great song! love the little guitar solo rips. we used to have a TI994a computer at home so anything with TE is a plus on top of that, looking forward to move of these video down the road, the whole album is excellent

@@CyberattackWorld so like in the mid 80’s you had IBMs and Commodores and Amigas and they were all super expensive but then you have Texas Instruments Ti994a which was more affordable, and Bill Cosby was advertizing it along with his Jell-os and Cokes. It was kind of like Beta Max - like it was the best, but it didn’t catch on for whatever reason like commodore/apple did. It was super cool, with a colour screen and all these games like Microsurgeon where you did surgery and fantasy role playing games (Tunnels of Doom) and shooter games (Slymoids, Parsec) and mountain climber games (Alpiner) with really cool 8bit music, and exercise games, and word processing stuff and whatever for adults - and the absolute best was these amazing text adventures (called “adventure” with no graphics just typing in text commands (look those up Scott Adams adventure games you can get them on your phone now, so good). and then there was a Speech Synthesizer where you could make it say things in a weird robotic voice by typing in words spelled incorrectly. so much fun was had on that thing!

Well done brother. Pop music doesn't have to be full of cliche sounds.
Great Job!!! The aesthetic has always been so full of vibrancy and bit crushed goodness…but to Me this video seems to have pushed it further somehow? I dunno but it seems more ambitious/refined this round… It rocks Dood! Keep it going!

thanks a lot. by the time it was finished, the folder on my computer containing this entire project was over 200 GB. really appreciate the comment
I dig it man, I dig pretty much everything you do. Growing up in the early 90's and being obsessed with industrial and techno music such as kmfdm and orbital, along with ministry and N.I.N, I get it. I get the emotion and the sound. Not everyone can be like aphex twin tho man, sometimes noise isn't what it takes to have that empathic feeling. Regardless, it's a good one. I fkn drive truck and wrench for a living man, but I've got at least 10-25 riffs that are solid gold. The thing is, what is it that makes a song great? Or life changing for that matter. Just to cut to the quick, with all the craziness in me and my wife's life lately, it's Sturgill Simpson's song "remember to breathe" and another track off the same record called "make art, not friends". I'd like to colab' with you sometime bro, there's a sea of infinite possibilities out there and all it takes is one spark to ignite a fire that could change things forever. If you wanna chat hmu man, neither of us have nothing to lose, but on the other side of the coin, maybe something to gain
@CyberattackWorld

thanks for the comment dude, I have close to zero awareness of Sturgill Simpson so lemme go check him out
