Finchers commentaries are always great. The making of this film is in some ways more interesting than the film itself, because you really get to see the way David interacts with the actors (and Rooney especially) in the behind the scenes videos. It also put Mara on the map, who has easily become my favourite actress of this generation.

David Fincher always talks about the important details, and meaningful choices, you wish all movie commentaries had. Unfortunately, most commentaries aren't very illuminating.

He's an incredibly purposeful director, and the behind-the-scenes material for this movie makes it even more apparent!

Sony should have let Fincher complete his trilogy. Andrew Kevin Walker write the scripts and it was going to focus more on Salander’s & Blomkvists relationship.

Mmk…he talks about “Scotty the cat”…the most memorable moment was in the scene with Erika when she says she’s leaving in the morning…are you coming to bed…when he gets up to walk in the room he goes to pet the cat & the cat raises his paw & it looks like a “high five” on his way in there. I love it but Fincher didn’t mention it😩

Thank you. Longest film commentary ever. How can there such a discrepancy between say a Coppola commentary and DF? Holy smokes. Kind of ponderous.

Cinema Voice might be a stretch to ask for the LOTR extended commentaries? if you can't get it it's fine. My favorite one you have is YOU-ACH-EEF, weird Al has a surpingly professional and knowledg-able tone.

that would be a challenge, only due to the length of the picture means more chances for youtube to snipe the movies audio if they don't continuously talk thru out. I will try though. yes! haha, uhf earns its place here.

Fincher almost always laughs at the wrong moments. Much could be said about his inappropriate choice of words. He’s almost a good director. It would probably be better if he stayed on as a commercials director. Still, he has a nice sounding voice, . . . almost like Theodor Robert Bundy.

Haven't seen the film. The director isn't nearly as interesting or capable as he thinks. But. The idea of making Lisbeth get physical with DCraig?? is completely farcical. And only another white male would propose such a ludicrous thing. Yuck on the most epic scale.

I think he is a much better director than Tarantino who unfortunately degraded Bruce Lee and Sharon Tate etc. in his last film likely just because it amused him too. Fincher has some disturbing material but he didn't write all the stories himself including GWTDT he's not the only one that has depicted the story either it's a graphic story maybe a bit immature of him to laugh during commentary but the actual film he made is not a humourous depiction.
