Listen to Black Men: The Friend Zone

Listen to Black Men is bringing you the most engaging conversations that need to be heard. With our panel of industry insiders and social media personalities, this new series seeks to bring insight into what Black men are thinking and what issues they need to be heard on. In the inaugural episode, The Friend Zone, host Mouse Jones and his crew (Tyler Chronicles, Papoose, and Jeremie Rivers) speak with the talented Jessie Woo and Kiyanne about what it means for a man to be seen as a platonic partner.

This needs to be longer so the topic can be really discussed. Butttt I appreciate the conversation! Please keep the same circle, I like their perspectives and personalities!

First Observations & Impressions: Jessie is very into herself & therefore takes up all the space in conversations and has to be the center. Kiyanne has SUCH a dope vibe and asked questions to hear and understand. Mouse is a truth teller, period. I loved Tyler's description of the difference between men vs women friend zones - clarity. Papoose you can tell is patient, super kind and has a generous heart. Jeremie and Papoose broke it down about how to honor and give consideration to your partners feelings in a way I haven't heard before. Looking forward to the next convo in this series!

This is SO ghetto I could die.(If the Pistons' 23-game losing streak doesn't kill me first. They are in a (stereotypically ghetto) pool hall and just playing to every narrative about black men.
