i think for some it takes moments like that to realize you actually do love your siblings, it’s hard to remember when you’re actively upset with them more times than not. children aren’t nearly as mindful as an adult, they act on emotions and impulses without forethought and allow that to influence their beliefs (ik adults do that too, not everybody exits the child-esque mindset) so it takes moments where you have to double down on your premonitions and look at your situation from a different angle.

It's actually really sad when you think about it. Even at such a young age, he didn't really see Homer as his father because of how bad of a father he is. Homer has his sweet moments, but he is not a good father

Bart actually was pretty smart but his parents didn't help or pay enough attention to him. Its probably why he does all these mischievous stuff. He lacks any attention.

Reminds me of that one episode where Lisa got invited to a sleepover, but it was really the girls just bullying her, and when she was about to leave, Bart came and told her "I'm the only one who gets the privilege to mess with you, so let's teach them a lesson" and he proceeded to help Lisa get back at them. Really puts into perspective as to why he might be mean to Lisa, but deep down, he knows if anyone else messes with Lisa, he's gonna help her get back at them.

Spoilers: Saddest and most beautiful episodes of all times. Basically the family talked about bart and lisa's first word. You that homer is desperate for them to say it and when they call him (as babies) they say "homer" not dad like he wanted. That wads the heartbreaking thing. But at fhe end of the episode homer tells maggie "i wish you wont grow up" or somthing sweet like rhat and then she says "dad" after he left. My heart bro
