My earthly father beat my mom for 11 years before she left. She was Catholic and she was excommunicated for divorce. I was 3 at the time and terrified of him. He rarely paid child support but when he did, he made us stay with him at Christmas. After the first year, my mom worked two jobs so we wouldn’t have to go again. I had no dad and an absent mom. I’m an emotional mess. Thank you for making me feel less alone in my mess, and God bless you and your daughter.

Thank you for always sharing your wisdom and gift. My dad left us when I was 4. My husband and I always said our kids will never have to feel that. However we plan but God decides. My husband passed on in the navy submarine exercise,and there. It dawned on me that my kids are fatherless. However,the holy spirit was faithful enough to remind me that God is my kids' Father. And a husband to me.

I do not have the resources to be a spiritual uncle to Missy but you can count on my prayers. I fully expect that I will not interact with Lisa or Missy on this side of eternity. I equally expect that God will protect Missy's faith so that some time in eternity I can meet this precious child and her "menopause mama." 😊

Hello Lisa, I have been feeling really down for the past couple of months I guess and as I was listening to your message tonight about our Father I just had to try and put my blanket into the dryer so I could get it really warm and wrap myself up in it and close my eyes. I wish I could understand any of this. God has been a horrible father to me. I don’t see the point in turning to the one who has seen everything and hasn’t cared, its what He wanted for me. Every time I have cried out to Him, He makes me feel even worse. He hasn’t helped, He hasn’t restored or redeemed anything in my life. He hasn’t done anything a dad is supposed to do for us in this life, it must be nice to be someone He cares enough about to to do that for. Why does God help some, but only reject others?

I'm so sorry for your pain but I just saw this and I feel like I have to try to respond with Holy Spirit. I truly am sorry for your pain and for your sorrows. I think when we remember what the Bible says we can see that He is in the pain. " weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning" I also think it means joy comes in the mourning. If you have a chance read the beatitudes because it's mind blowing. Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. I lost my father when I was 3 and my mother when I was 6. I was in ten foster homes and adopted at 7. It was not perfect by any means but at least I had a home. I went through ups and downs in life but I know that the worst day with Jesus is better than the most amazing day without Him! God says He will never leave you not forsake you! I'm telling you it's true. I am literally going through excruciating emotional pain right now but I praise Him! I will not let this pain go to waste, I will share it and help another and praise God! God is not a genie He is our beautiful Father who gave His son up for our salvation. He is so kind. I know that this world is no good. There is so much evil but the Bible says " let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid, for I have overcome this world". " do not get weary in well doing" it means when you are living your life right for God, bad things can happen and persecution can happen at the least expected time, but we must not get tired of doing good! I promise you it's worth it!! Just let yourself go He will hold you!!!! Just break down and I promise you He will meet you there!!! Jesus is the most amazing Savior 🙏🙏❤❤ I don't know you but I feel like I do.. I just wish I could hug you and share in your pain..I can't but I promise you Jesus will ! I'm praying for you!

See God, not Jesus has comforted. I broke down and He kicked me harder. God is not kind in the slightest, Jesus paying for my salvation doesn’t make up for His creating me in the first place. I don’t get weary of doing good, I get weary of living this horrible life God forced on me. It’s just not worth it. The worst day with Jesus for me has just been the worst day, I struggle with having to be forced to spend eternity with the God who calls torture love
