She is an angel in flesh. Lisa and Enya are angels and no one can tell me otherwise... I love them❤👑

Arguably the most talented Australian alive. First heard her mesmerizing voice in 1994 while watching the film BARAKA. The hairs instantly went up on the back of my neck, and I went back again the next day to the theater just to hear her sing. She really is a spirit from some other world.

Sweet Jesus, even her speaking voice is so sublime! It's the kind of voice I've heard described as the "phonebook voice," as in, even if she were just reading from a phonebook, it would sound so enchanting and charming. What a wonderful woman.

Nobody has a voice like she has...

I always felt it was a shame she was not in the soundtrack for the LOTR trilogy. To hear her voice when Frodo sails west to Valinor or when Gandalf describes the moment of his resurrection...!

I connect with Lisa on a level that defies human language. The beauty of her energy is not of this world.

She's such a unique person. Reminds me of Grace Jones in that way. Talking to her, you get a feeling that she's from somewhere very far away and is here just for a time.

She is exactly how I imagined someone who could create such unbelievably beautifully unique music would be

She's just like her music; instantly captivating. I've been an admirerer of her music since the 80's when I immediately enjoyed the first cd I purchased.

Her voice is literally from the heavens....truly angelic..

I can't say enough how Lisa's music has been a great inspiration in my life and my art making. Many blessings to her and her kin.

The way she speaks is so intense, yet so relaxed at the same time :P

I would imagine to garner the strength of her voice she would have to carry herself in the manner in which she does. Very articulate, slow-speaking, and calm. Untouched by "frequencies" as she stated. It's absolutely fascinating...I only know of one other artist that projects this same idealism, but is much younger and jovial--Aurora

My hat goes off to Virginia Troli who did this interview. Lisa Gerard is just so brilliant, and to hone her in and make her cohesive is truly a gift.

What a pure being!

Would be worth having an interview solely devoted to Lisa Gerrard talking about frequencies.

lisa Gerrard Is type of women that no normal human being will ever get tired of or bored from, for living and listen to her, Her appearance is pristine and sensible.

Love her. No doubt she is one of the greatest person I ever known, what a gift from almighty to the world.

I'm very pleased to come across this interview with Lisa, having not seen anything about herself or Brendan since London in 1984, where they lived in a very small apartment in The Isle of Dogs. Previously, I used to video Dead Can Dance in inner city Melbourne venues, including the Crystal Ballroom in the early eighties. Her voice is still as mystique and beautiful as it was almost 40 years ago.

Wow, didn’t realize she’s an INFJ until now. Unmistakable. But beyond that, she’s in a league of her own. Pure and transcendental.

Listen, please, to what she says at 11:00 about her and Brendan's experience when they created music together in London. I have ALWAYS felt that their creations are from the spiritual realm, God or "Heaven", and that when I do pass over to that world, I will hear their Musica Eternal. Thank You Brendan and Lisa for giving us a peek into the fortunes of a world we ALL will have one day. -CLS

Fantastic, I had a vague memory of this being on TV. She's such a giant force in my life. And Virginia Trioli is also a titan.

What a wonderful interview, and yes I'm going to comment on how alluring she was in that red dress. When I listen to her I fall under her power, there are wonderful singers- with Lisa, there is only..love.

Very good interview and congratulations to Virginia Trioli's sensitivity. Mrs Gerrard is quiet a strange mixture while talking: sometimes distant and in a kind of artificial stance, then suddenly beeing warm and funny but always with that slow rythm of talk, concentrated, focused.

This is an incredible interview. I haven't seen an interview this well put together, this well participated in and this interesting maybe ever.

Now We Are Free is an Immortal Masterpiece. At first hearing I thought it was Latin but then discovered it is her own idioglossia. If Lisa sang it in Latin I'm sure it would be as magnificent a masterpiece as that that Lisa has given us.

My brain thinks that she is an ancient who came into this world. I've had some interesting delusions about her. My brain is not rational. I can relate to her. I love writing, and I'll do it until the end of my days, even if I never master the craft. I'd do it in the rain or shine. Deep love or safety is not what I get from her work. LOL It registers as fear and lamenting to me, my two favorite emotions.
