About the title, the first time I read about the movie before it’s release I got the impression that Lisa was someone who shipped herself with the Frankenstein monster, which works with my theory that Cole Sprouse’s character is Victor Frankenstein from Mary Shelley’s novel and Lisa is Victor’s wife from the novel Elizabeth (Lisa can be a short for Elizabeth), his tombstone was damaged but we could read “tein” by the end of it, his first life was around the time when Mary Shelley’s novel was being written, and that’s why the name of the movie is “Lisa Frankenstein” despite the protagonist’s name in the beginning being Lisa Swallows because they got married in the end

The way it was marketed is very different of what the plot really is, they said “Lisa builds her ideal boyfriend like a Frankenstein” but actually she brought him back to life by accident and just helps him get new body parts since some of them were missing and they fall in love naturally, it’s not like she picked selectively the perfect parts like in “American Horror Story: Coven” or “May” (2002), actually I think this movie has much more to do with “Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride” than “Frankenstein”

I see why all these scenes didn’t make it to the final cut: - the “Get Me Out Of Hell” scene felt really disconnected to the sadness Lisa was feeling, if they included it there it would have ruined that emotional moment just for a cheap jumpscare; - the scene when Lisa sees him in the front door would make the moment when he breaks in less impactful for the audience and for Lisa, if she had seen him before her reaction would have made less sense (it makes more sense that she would be that scared if the first time she saw him was when he broke in); - the only things the scene in Lisa’s room could have added would be showing that Lisa tried to clean Janet’s blood off her carpet and that she showed her undead boyfriend how headphones work, but it’s not necessary since later (when she goes back to her room after Taffy said she was about to call her mom) we see him wearing those same headphones implying that he knew how they worked now and when Taffy steps right over the blood stain on Lisa’s carpet it implies that Lisa tried to hide it somehow; - the scene at the park was nice but it would have ruined the surprise or impact of the following events, this scene shows that they were seen so it would make the revelation later on that she was seen at the park less surprising, besides it would have made Lisa feel much more psychotic since she compliments “how easily he dismembered a body” and even thanks him afterwards for helping her which would have changed their dynamic because it would imply that Lisa wanted to kill Doug anyway that it wasn’t just to help her undead boyfriend, without that scene it feels like she did it to help him because he needed a new hand and if they had to kill someone to get him one she rather it would be Doug
