I think one of the main reason is that all yg artist as well as yg stans refer to them as dancers/performers and not as idol's backup dancer

They are the professional choreographers having their own fans/fandom and become famous more than 10 years, not just in Blackpink era.// If you can notice they are always in the position of who to hold and touch the FM artists. Jinsil(debuted) / Leehi and the others are amzing^^ Yea~~~~ they are so closed with the artists ^^ I'm so happy for BP working with the best team.^^

Important to add that in YG, their dancers are also the dance coaches for YG trainees, which means that YG idols once had in the past YG dancers as their dance mentors. This also makes their bonds even stronger.

YG has the best dancers of all the companies they are also are the only company who has nothing but respect for them as do the artists, they are actually listed as DANCE ARTISTS. The girls are the CRAZIES and I think the guys are the old rhelics but not 100 percent sure. However everyone knows who the Kwon Twins are. YG even built them an academy so they can train others.
