LIRR Time Lapse: Penn Station to Long Beach
Train 818 departs Penn Station each weekday at 9:36 a.m. and arrives at Long Beach Station approximately fifty-four minutes later. Here's what it was like to ride train 818 on Wednesday, May 19, 2010.
(Note: the East River Tunnel is omitted due to security considerations.)

this my favorite line. Took it so much times going to the beach with my friends family and mine, so nostalgic i miss it :(
I've always loved time-lapse and have done a few films and videos myself. But hardly anybody combines them with my other favorite thing: trains! Thanks for doing these; I've subscribed and will be back to watch them all, and any new ones you make!
I used to live in Rochdale Village 22 years ago, I remember those trains whizzing by day & night.

Very well done. The music is nice and relaxing. The time-lapse gives it a sense of urgency, even if you're happily lazing your day away when waching.
I miss 2010
Cool video! You should make more for more branches!
Beatiful time lapse!
After watching video today jan 2nd 2020 I already miss the 2010s
I remember the Woodside stop on these trains. Now, most of the weekday off-peak LB trains operate express between Penn Station and Jamaica.
Great video... I'd like to add that it looks like the train past my stop (Locust Manor) on its way to Long Beach.
Great vidéo
I’ve always wondered where that went to
I almost got out of my chair when the train stopped at Valley Stream...It still feels like home !
This was 9 years ago. Nothing much has changed.
It would be awesome if the LIRR was that fast.
Very neat!
