You can look at Lions turnaround being when they started drafting offensive linemen in 1st round. For any of the older fans, we know they never use to have good offensive line including during the Barry Sanders days. They finally got smart and invested in the line and its paid off

I'm from Arizona but have been following and rooting for the Lions since their Hard Knocks season in 2022 After going 3-13-1 in 2021with Dan Campbell, most people gave up on him and the team but not their loyal fans or management In his 2nd season, Hard Knocks decided to cover their preseason. They ended up losing 6 of their first 7 games but many were close games Their loyal fans and management still didn't give up on him. They ended up winning 8 of their last 10 games for that season Then we all know what happened this season...so happy for their lifelong fans and us new fans from other States...GO LIONS!!! Show less

I always root for my 49ers but I really, really like this Lions team. If they were playing against anyone else, i would be rooting for the Lions. I really would. But I gotta root for my team. It's gonna be fun Detroit, whichever way it goes.

I've seen 0-16, I've seen a great passing game let down by terrible defense, I've seen the one playoff game we had in all that time go down the drain. Well not this time. @MMk-me1xt It used to be pretty big here in the 80s because it was on one of only 4 TV channels that we had at the time. A lot of the older generations used to watch the Bears, Dolphins and the Redskins for instance. Then there were many years where it was on the fringes of the sporting consciousness. I used to stay up until 4am on a Monday night watching the MNF on channel 5. A lot of people have played Madden here though, so I think that's got something to do with it too. It's probably more popular here now than ever I would say. A friend of mine who never watched before started watching in 2021 as he wanted to follow the 49ers - who own our football team Leeds United now - and now he watched every week, so something's working there. I'd probably compare it to F1 becoming more popular in the US.

Been a Lions fan for nearly 50 years, and this is the most fun I've had in a season. Could tell it was gonna be special and made it to the game in Kansas City, at home against Denver and the first playoff game against the Rams - all wins! Keep it going and as Dan says, two more to go!

All Class. Jordan Love is the future. I've never cared for the prior Packer QBs but this guy may make me a new fan. The NFC QBs maybe the best collectively in any division next year.

No matter how the rest of the season pans out....just imagine how wild and crazy that NFL Draft will be this year. They're holding it downtown Detroit! Lions fans are going to PACK that event.

My brother in-law got me into the NFL last year. I had watched an old season of Hard Knocks featuring Detroit Lions. That made it no brainer for when I had to choose a team to support. The passion from both coach Campbell, all the coaches, and of course the entire squad made me select the Lions. Keep pushing on Detriot! Go Lions.

this is why players respond to MCDC. this guy is not afraid to stand in a room of professional football players, grown ass men, and show the full spectrum of human emotion. THAT’s passion. when we talk about passion in sports, it’s almost always regarding anger. Dan will cry. he will laugh. he will yell. you can tell he feels every bit of what he and his team are experiencing, and that gets guys to respond. authenticity. during that initial press conference of his, a lot of people clowned him for his choice of words. but my thought was “this guy will get the most out of this team.” they’ve drafted well, they’ve developed their talent, they turned Jared Goff from a potential bust to a productive NFL quarterback. i have no idea if Dan is an expert on the x’s and o’s of football-as an ex-player, i imagine he’s got some decent knowledge-but this guy is a leader. i think football is a silly, boring game. but hearing this guy talk makes me wanna strap on some pads, rock some girlie cleats and knock some heads.

As a life long Pats fan who first started loving their team during the "Patsies" years, until the 20 yr run on top, now back to the basics, I find it hard not to root for the Lions and their fans and hope they get to experience the joys we got to after long hardships.

​@@CredibleHulk-no they were not! Wayne Fontes was a inferior head coach. Washington beat them 86-10 in 2 games This team has a better RB tandem, the offensive line is better and this team offensively can play at a elite level. That 1991 team was a joke . This team can win it all.

@123slasher.16 The 1991 team had the greatest running back the world has ever known. They won 12 games in a 16-week season. They had a defense full of stars like Jerry Ball, Chris Spielman, and Benny Blades. They had the best kicker in Lions history, and one if the best returners the game ever saw. Man-to-man, it's not even close.
