4-3-3 - Earps, Bronze, Bright, Greenwood, Charles, Walsh, Coombes, Stanway, Kelly, Hemp, Daly. Charles for her engine and heading from corners (I think all 4 goals were headers last season). Coombes is our best box-to-box midfielder. Daly starts ahead of Russo. Toone, James and Russo + 2 others coming off the bench. Disappointed if we don't at least make the semis

@@simonidio5993 She gives us better balance than any of the others and her passing range is excellent. I don't rate Carter, Esme Morgan is there for non-footballing reasons (to keep Lauren Hemp company), that only leaves Wubben-Moy and I'm not convinced she's quicker but has more physical presence. Your suggestion?

@@edcleverley9333 Well I just think we could be left wanting for pace in that position.: against the Netherlands Greenwood gave away a penalty when tracking back. I would play Morgan who has pace and height despite her occasional clumsiness. I agree - Greenwood is excellent and I'd like her on the flank where there isn't as much defensive responsibility but even there she'd be vulnerable against certain wingers.

@@simonidio5993 I really don't think Morgan is there to play, I can think of at least 10 players who would be above her on footballing merit. She was a walking disaster area for City on the rare occasions she got on the pitch at the end of last season. That's why I've come to the conclusion that Sarina thinks Lauren Hemp's underwhelming Euros was psychological and her friend has been brought in to try and get the best out of her. Height doesn't make you good in the air. I would expect smaller, more powerful players like Jess Carter or Maya Le Tissier to beat a tall, skinny player like Morgan, Rosella Ayane or Ellie Brazil in the air 9 times out of 10

Really enjoyed this, thank you! Loved that you had those particular Lionesses on 👏❤️👏❤️👏❤️. God tho. How arrogant are the USA???? 🤢. Sadly though..they do have SUCH a strong team!!!! As they should: I read recently that they have TWICE the National Camps that Europe and other nations have, plus they are mid-season-fighting-fit, so really they should be ashamed if they DIDN’T win!

@@dnguyen9747 Haven't been singing "It's coming home" since 1966 as the song was released 30 years later in 1996. In 1996 England hosted the men's European championships. Hence the song "It's coming home" The meaning behind the song in 1996 was a major tournament being held in the home of football the country that invented the game. Also if you bothered to read the lyrics it isn't an arrogant song at all it is in fact the opposite. It is typical self-deprecating English humour taking the piss out of ourselves. With lyrics such as "Everyone seems to know the score, they've seen it all before they just know, they're so sure that England's gonna throw it away, gonna blow it away but I know they can play". "So many jokes, so many sneers but all those oh so near's wear you down, through years". "Three Lions on a shirt Jules Rimet still gleaming thirty years of hurt never stopped me dreaming".

@@Skyrose1978 I meant it figuratively, as in England have been talking about how this is going to be our time to win a major championship. Perhaps the country that "invented football" shouldn't have banned its women from playing. The lack of confidence the men showed from that decision has permeated English footballing mentality. There is a saying, if you're insecure, you will mistake confidence for arrogance. Full disclosure, I believe the US men's team is arrogant. They haven't achieved anything and the bravado is fake IMO.

i thought one can only train during fifa windows, but not sure. how is usa arrogant? i think rapinoe and morgan were obnoxious w the goal celebrations, but not the others who were playing in their first world cup and scored. we are missing a bunch of BIG players (starters) to injury: mal pUghSA (swanson), s. mewis, macario, dahlkemper and sauerbrunn. then there is PRESS, HEATH, DAVIDSON injured as well. ERTZ just coming back from baby. rose lavelle still injured.

@@dnguyen9747 Supporting your country's team and dreaming and believing this year could be our year isn't arrogant. Every county has chants like that only English-speaking countries don't generally learn other languages so do not understand what they are chanting. USA supporters chant "I believe that we will win" at every match I wouldn't say that was arrogant though. Women were banned from playing football in Britain you're right but the general public is not responsible for that decision. In the rest of the world football is a man's sport. Fully admit in my 44 years of living despite being a woman myself I never gave women playing football a second thought didn't even know we had a women's football team and didn't even know women's Euros and the world cup existed until the women's Euros were televised last year. That gives you an insight into how the rest of the World didn't and to a large extent still doesn't care for women's football. It's only in the last four years England women's football Leagues have turned fully professional the same for many other countries in Europe too. The sleeping giants of European football have finally woken up to supporting and investing in women's football and despite USWNT having a 50-year-plus head start Europe has considerably closed that gap in just 4/5 years. Up until very recently, USWNT had been massaging their egos playing against women who were at best semi-professional and amateurs. It's an advantage USWNT has had for many decades the question should be why haven't they won more World Cups playing countries who aren't even fully professional.

In Australia branch, there were not only the host Australia and England, but also France, Brazil, and Germany. Germany was considered the biggest threats since they won 2 World Cups. In New Zealand, USWNT's big test were traditional rivals Sweden (who played against each other in the last 5 World Cups) and Spain (who had current Ballon d'Or and Best Footballer of the World in form of Alexia Putellas).

@@07Flash11MRC There's no maybe about it the USWNT has the easiest run to the final out of all the major contenders in the World Cup. The USA is in Group E playing Vietnam, Portugal, and the Netherlands. The USA should win Group E and will face runners-up of Group G which includes Sweden, South Africa, Italy, and Argentina. After that, it's either the Group A winners or the runners-up of Group C most likely to either be Spain, Japan, or Norway. England is on the much tougher side of the bracket. England is in Group D playing Haiti, Denmark, and, China. If England tops the Group they will most likely face Australia, Canada, or ROI in the RO16. Quarter Finals England most likely be playing Germany, France, Brazil, or Korea Republic. Semi-Final England is most likely to play, France, Germany, Brazil, or the Korea Republic.
