Because she’s more durable , she’ve more stamina, have stronger paw swipe , bigger canines and claws , she’s stronger, she’s hunt much bigger prey ( also lonely ) and she’s fearless . The only avantages of the jaguar is that he have a stronger bite force , more agile and maybe more aggressive ( because that’s a male ) . Depends on the population of the jaguar (they’re all P. onca onca). Only Pantanal and Llanos jagaurs should stand a chance. On average and maximum, a Southern lioness kills the jaguars I mentioned above, and a Northern lioness loses. Important to note, most jaguar populations will get annihilated by a lioness of any subspecies, especially the Southern ones.

Lioness another problem is always with pride Lions also live without pride for a time period But lioness never do that which makes them to takes the decisions so hard🤔 FIGHT OR NOT Jaguar takes the edge in 1v1 too Fully grown jaguar would win at very high diff if the Lioness lost its pride Cuz if a lioness without pride affects it mentall

At the end, that leopard was submissive and those lionesses were not looking forward to maul it to death. I have seen a documentary of a tigress mother who ate an adult male leopard in order to protect her cubs, if those lionesses had cubs they would probably finish that leopard. But anyways nice video, at the same size it would be 50/50, but lioness wins 60-65% of the time. Jaguars have sharper claws but lioness has bigger claws, and jaguar only has its bite force to attack prey and aim for the skull, not in combat with other jaguars.

Despite their huge sizes, they can't still survive in the wild. Lions and Tigers are better suited for hunting and fighting off rivals than Ligers. They're just a hybrid cat and people are raising concerns about their health. They weigh up to 1800lbs(996kgs). In contrast, healthy specimen are fit to survive in the wild . But these cats are slow and chubby. That's why they stick to zoos than in the wild.

The way they have underrated the lion, when u pit a 120 kg lioness against 120 kg jaguar, you are actually pitting a very small lioness against an obese jaguar, the lioness will still win because a 120kg fight won't even be a able to stand or run

Jaguar has more chances to win as it is pound to pound stronger and it can hunt caiman , anaconda and many more dangerous animals whereas a lioness struggles to hunt a zebra or wlidbeest, it hunts on pride most of the times . So slight weight difference does not matter , a jaguar beats a lioness . But an African male lion can beat male jaguar easily.
