I'm a 43 yr old man and not ashamed to admit I tear up every time I hear this beautiful track.Takes me back to when I was a kid riding in the car with my dad,he'd always crank up the volume when a Lionel Richie song would come on the radio and always made me smile.Gosh I miss my childhood so much in the 80s 😢.

It's okay to feel sensitive to hear a good song 🎵 that brings back fond memories.

This song is true testament of my beautiful bride of 22 years. We have endured the tragic death(s) of my father, both her parents and recently my 56 yr old sister. Life can knock the breath out of you at times, it sure is great to have someone beside you as God intended it to be.

Even though it's secular music, he captures in part what my wife of 17 years means to me... her name is Tammy, We met right after Katrina. I went down there to help rebuild. The day we met she was with 2 of her friends and one of them asked if we could help put furniture on a truck. We did and I thought that was the end of the story, but later evening they came back with food and drinks to show us they appreciated our help. They literally just lost everything yet they brought US something to eat. After a few hours her other friend had told me she wanted to get to know me. (One thing you can know about me is that I don't consider myself a handsome man, and she is absolutely gorgeous!) I asked her if she wanted to go out for "coffee and conversation", she came right back with "I DON'T DRINK COFFEE"! I thought "Well dern, no chance with her", but she did say she would go out to eat. We talked for hours and hours. I knew in my heart that I had FINALLY found "THE ONE"! A couple years later I decided to take a chance and get an engagement ring. So I want to a local jeweler and while I was picking out the ring, I told him the story of how we met. A couple days later we were out for supper and i pulled out the ring, nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of Rocking chairs, I popped the question. She immediately said YES, and everyone applauded! It was a picture perfect moment! The ring was a bit too big, so we HAD to go back to the jeweler's, when the guy who sold me the ring saw her je was like THAT'S THE WOMAN YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT? I said, uh... yea why? SHE USED TO BABYSIT FOR HIS FAMILY!!! The rest is history. We've been together ever since that day. If I can impart some crucial information for you guys who are just starting out in a relationship, PUT GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING YOU DO, ....PERIOD! The Bible tells us to be equally yoked, in other words, one can't be a follower of Jesus Christ and the other one NOT! Next, COMMUNICATION. No matter how small the problem seems, let them know what's on your mind. If you don't then it will grow and fester like a cancer eventually killing the relationship! NEVER GO TO BED ANGRY! Problems will come but when you come together as one in prayer before GOD, and let HIS WILL be done, your relationship will grow into something more beautiful than you ever could have imagined!
