Eric Clapton's song, not tears in heaven but Wonderful Tonight was my AOL screen name when I met my 2nd husband in 2000. We talked forever (months) before we actually met in person, very much to my surprise, he was exactly the person he told me he was, sweet and kind, gentle and thoughtful, caring and loving. We hit it off immediately and in 2002, we were married. And now, I'm alone again, my husband passed away in May 2023 from Cancer (he never smoked). I miss and love him dearly, always will too!! These songs bring back a lot of memories of the times he and I danced to a few of them. #RIPSteveMyLove♥

I get exactly what you are saying here, I feel the same way, you just can't help those feelings that come washing over you like a cascading waterfall. My mom also died when I was young in Feb 10th of 94' to be exact and she loved a lot of these songs too as I do as well. Peace be with you, always.
