@@tomkelly4336 they all died too soon, along with Elvis. they were definitely on the list. i know. interviewed Peggy and Sarah. separately, of course, and both sublime singers.

SHE HAD THAT MAGIC ABILITY TO MAKE THE FAN LISTEN TO THE LYRICS...LIKE SINATRA, CLOONEY, ETC...A REAL ARTIST...MISS HER.....

Goodman is almost in tears toward the end - I feel he's remembering the first recording, done with a very young Peggy Lee a few weeks after Pearl Harbor was bombed and the U.S. entered the war.

I wish they would teach kids in school about these incredible composers. This is Benny Goodman!!!!

so wonderful, so spare, so heartfelt, and so very, very glamorous as you sang the perfect song for this occasion. one of the highlights of your singing career. it proved Benny Goodman was right to have the faith he had in you.

American MASTERS .....this is what America gave to the world. JAZZ both the music, the style and the culture. HIP

She had a sexy voice. I don’t believe anyone else has had one like hers before her or since.

Yes - restraint in music creates a space of partial silence that pulls you in - to an interior space. It's a lost value in modern performance, especially in singers.

you can hear a pin drop when she sings. total focus on her and her music.

Daniel Weinstein, true. So genuine and sincere. Do you imagine any pop stars of today making such a HUMBLE and TRUE statement like this on such a big night and occasion? Nope!

Peggy Lee was so seductive when she sang. Her clothes fit her perfectly and no one had her color hair. You just couldn't take your eyes off of her. She had a most unusual voice. I always loved her. SYLVIA!

Sad to see the rest of Peggy Lee´s own face after a lot of plastic surgerys. Why the hell so many people can´t accept natural signs of aging???
