Lionel Fastrack Grade Crossing w/ Flashers | O-Scale Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

MSRP: $100
In this video I reviewed the Lionel Grade Crossing w/ Flashers. I highly recommend getting this product as its made very well and it is a little complicated to understand how to set it up but it one you set it up, you will understand how it will operate. I think it's worth the price of $100 US as Lionel made the product very well. Enjoy the video and I hope this video will get you to buy one and have one for your own layout! -Jonah

The bell is modeled after a General Signals electronic bell. Other companies make e bells such as Western Cullen Hayes (WCH), National Electric Gate (NEG), US&S, and so on.

Hi, question? I would love to know how I can do this to my H.O. scale crossing...Currently, I am using arduino and 2 inferred sencers on either end, but after seeing this function, I'd like to know how I could incorporate using this method to activate my crossing.

I don't have FasTrack, I use tubular track, I use an insulated track section for my crossing gate and dwarf signal

Just bought one bran new. Wired up and installed correctly. Train looses power when goes thru the crossing sometimes. What am I doing wrong I want to throw it out the window.. Does your still work reliably?

The wire is not supposed to be disconnected because that's what goes into the Red LED itself to make the flashers function

What about the one with the crossing gate is it different.

Yes it is. The one with a gates has motorized gates that are attached to the flashers that go down when the crossing is activated, and it also has other details that the "flashers only" crossing doesn't have for example, control boxes.

Maybe they are not pushed in all the way or maybe there is a wiring issue and you might need to exchange for a new one

First of all, even if it did work and was reliable, the bell should sound at least five feet before the locomotive ever gets there. The way it is set up is not at all realistic. And for what Lionel charges for it this accessory is pathetic. Who in management at Lionel is in charge of quality control? That person should address these kinds of problems or be fired. Can't Lionel figure that out?

I would say Fastrack is good for someone who is just getting started in the hobby, but if someone would like track that would last a long time, I would probably go with Atlas Track

@@JonahR215 atlas o gauge track has been out of stock almost everywhere for 3 years, including trainworld and atlas itself. We suspect atlas has left the o gauge track business, a pity. I'm now in the final stages of my 17 by 24 ft layout, but all the atlas track was bought about 10 to 12 years ago, mostly used. Ross track, a little more expensive, is readily avalable and much better.
