For opening ceremony, the suggested programme flow is the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, followed by Premise Blessing, Lion Dance Cai Qing Performance and the Photo Opportunity. Many client will choose to have the Lion Dance Cai Qing Performance first before the Premise Blessing too. Either way, we will be able to cater for it.
Besides the normal Lion Dance Cai Qing performance, there are also optional add-ons, namely the High Poles Performance and LED Lion Dance. The rates differ for each performance. Ideally, the High Poles performance will require 25m by 5m space to set up the poles with assuring safety distance from the crowd. The LED Lions will require a controlled environment where dimming the lights is possible to bring out the luminescent effect of the LED decorated Lion performance.
For the photo opportunity, some clients prefer that the the lions will take photos with the VIPs first before gathering everybody for the photo. It is perfectly fine with us if we do 2-3 shots.
Besides providing lion dance for opening ceremony, we also cater Models for ushering and Balloon decorations to hype up the venue. The model ushering your guests and VIPs will ensure that the first point of contact between guests and your company is a positive experience. The balloons decoration will exude joy to the venue. The art of lion dance has dated back to more than 1,500 years ago. In modern day Asia, lion dances are often seen during auspicious events such as the opening of a new business or a family’s moving into a new home, with the majority of the tradition taking place during the first few days of Chinese New Year (CNY).
Such a trend is reminiscent of Bak Kwa (Chinese Pork Jerky) where demand only surges during the opening periods of the year and subsequently tails off post CNY. In that regard, besides raising prices during the peak period to sustain their businesses through the year, companies in the Bak Kwa industry have all but ventured into other areas. These include diving into the tourism industry where Bak Kwa are packaged differently to specifically target the incoming tourists, broadening their offerings to include other food items such as biscuits, pastries and even sausages, and finally venturing into the overseas markets where demand will not be solely restricted to the Chinese New Year period.
