Do people really do that? I see people not wanting to be canceled because companies cancel sponsorships. What I don't understand is why they cancel sponsor to appease vocal minorities that might not even buy their products. I understand not wanting ti associate yourself with hate speech, racism and such, but most of the time the canceling is over something so minor or out of context I'm just amazed they continue doing that. Or companies trying to do games and series target at those vocal minority and the product flops. It's like they want to actually lose money just to make a point.

What I was saying was that context matters and even if they slipped a bad word regarding gays on an online game (a place where rage takes place), people just assume you are this monster for saying something once (most of the time others showing your line without context) and don't give you time to explain yourself.

It's advertising money that sends you into 7 and 8 digit figures in content creation environments, unless you're making material for direct subscribes (and even making that kind of money in that way isn't remotely easy). Nah it would have been fine. It was pretty obvious from the way he was talking that he wasn't referring to the n word. Basically all the points charlie made that the n word was not in casual use on tv in the 2000s and the word he's actually talking about starts with r.
