He gets paid 20k, but builds pool for 10k, claims it as business. THEN he only gets taxed on his 10k left over so only pays 5k tax. Leaving him 5k in cash.

The point of a tax write off is to lower your taxable income so you don't pay so much in taxes. In certain cases it does actually save you money. The main point is put more money back into the business rather than it going to the IRS.

@@nedflanders4158 Yes, in both of those scenarios, you are still paying what you owe on Taxes. However, with the second scenario, you are simply paying less due to the write off. Which is what I said, haha... Linus never made extra money, he still started with 20k. But by using the Pool as a deductible, he simply saved $5,000.

There were a ton of golden moments in this video, but James saying "because I can write" was the absolute top for comebacks. Jake you do look a lot better now, through out the years you seem to go up and down in weight. It can be hard to manage your weight but around this amount I think you look great. Would like to see another one of these types of video's where you just throw random comments from this video at them. was surprised to see there was none about Kyle thought for sure there would be some about him

Linus if you do read through all the comments... I would like to see some vids on cases using smoke machines to give us a visual on airflow. I would like to SEE how all the standard case setups really effect cooling. Theres part of me that wonders if SOME messy cables would help create turbulence that would stir air in corners. Cable management vs no management comparisons would be really good.

Elijah is just so unambiguously wholesome and genuine. Always open to learning and trying new things, happy to help, owns his mistakes, and not afraid to put his ego aside for a genuine laugh.

Riley and James are my favorite hosts, always so funny and full of great jokes

Oooo, I like the sound of tailored brushing. There's always some little thing with pre-sets with my current brush that bugs me

Love the longer video, I feel like these kinds of community videos can’t be done well enough in 15-20 minutes. Hope to see more like this in the future
