Lost supposed to be 13 track on Meteora but is also had similar vibe to Numb and not ended on album Mike Shinoda said in interview, anyway this song is old 20 years and i think is better than 99% nowadays music in any genre.
He saved millions, but millions couldn´t save him 😭

The nostalgia, emotion and pure art is this song! The lyrics and that deep bridge part of harmonies.
R.I.P. Chester, he will never be forgotten, I'm sure he's rocking with the angels.🙌❤️ Apparently this was took from Meteora album.🤘🔥
From what I read seems like they though this song was too similar to Numb and they took it off Meteora

I find this song is way better than Numb in my opinion. Reminds me of my high school days listening to hybrid theory everyday.
This song brings me back to my surfing days jamming out to this on the beach. RIP Chester. One of the best voices ever.
Hearing Chester's voice is the comfort blanket that we, Xennials needed right now. #HisLegacy #MakeChesterProud
Thanks for checking this one out!! Meteora and Hybrid Theory were my favorite albums 🤘🏻 Like somebody said below, due to their record label, they had to cut a song from their album and they decided to cut this one off because they said it came off a lot like Numb… Also, heard that they created an entire album before releasing Meteora, but scratched the whole thing because they weren’t happy with it… then they released Meteora… so maybe we’ll get an entire album from back in the day sometime soon?? That would be Fkn sick!!!

That would be amazing!
When I heard this. I thought. Awesome, a new LP song with Chester.. So cool. But when the moment came and he started to sing, it just hit so differently than I expected. I generally do not care about famous people dying, and I think fandom has become way to much. people are fan of everything. Chester and LP to me have always meant a lot. And as far as a famous person dying his death was something that mattered to me, in some ways. But I can listen to there old music just fine. But for some reason a new song with him just hit so differently than I thought. His voice just made me shiver right away, I did not expect it to hit in anyway.. And the fact it was so unexpected make it so much more. And the moment he sings. " I am tired " there is a break in his voice, its like its pulled out. its just. Amazing song. and I can't put words on it, but what ever I am feeling, I really did not think I would feel listening to this song when I heard it the first time. When the " I tried to keep this pain inside, but I will never be alright " Looking back there are many of the things he sung where people say, well he was telling us. But those lines are not like that, it was more a. He feared this, and it turned out to be true. He knew what he was fighting, and that one day fighting it won't be enough. Suffering from chronical mental illness is something you fight your entire life, and the best you can do is fight so it does not effect others. But you know inside you will never get to be alright. All the things others life for, is something you can never have, and there is not anything you can do about it. When you live it, that thought is the most heavy thing you carry. No matter what, your life will always be that, I will never be alright. Nothing can change it, no amount of love, wealth, power. I can have everything I ever desired, and I will still not be alright. There is a big difference between when you are sick. And when you suffer from chronical mental illness. Its not a depression, its not a phase. It is something you can never escape. No amount of medicine. support love or happiness will remove the illness inside you. And when you suffer from a heavy chronic mental illness, the longer you manage to stay alive, the more perspective it gives you. And the better you can talk about it, explain it. But it never goes away, you just understand what your illness do, but you are a prisoner to it, there is no escaping it. you can try and find ways to get around the issues. But it is there every time you wake up. But the longer you manage to live with it, the easier it become living with it. But sadly, as living with it gets easier, as you find your ways to keep your illness under control. The greater the effect from things around you gets. And that is the most heavy thing to carry. Being sick is just you. Suffering becomes easy, and as you remove all things around you until you stand alone in a empty room in order be alive, living becomes impossible. And the more you fight it and try to do the things you want. The darker it becomes. Because the hardest at that point is looking at those around you, knowing they love you, and you love them. But no matter what your illness will always ruin you, and they will pay the price. Every day you stay alive is for the sake of others, not yourself. And with time it gets harder, because it becomes more and more clear, the most painful is all the things you need. Love is killing you. success is killing you, because the illness will always turn it against you. It is not something you go through when you actually suffer from chronic mental illness. Its a part of you every second of your life. its a weight you never can put down. And you try to give all you have when around others, so they do not have to share the burden. Because you learn the most painful thing is not when your illness destroys you, its when it destroys those you love. And there is nothing you can do about, no amount of love will ever make the cancer inside you go away. And because its not something others can see, its much harder for them to understand the suffering, also when it effects them. If you have actual cancer, those around you can see it. Chronical mental illness is not just a battle with yourself. But a battle with the world around you. I like to pain it this way. If you have cancer, you often get to live a life. 10 years, 20 years, 30 years.. what ever. You have love, you have life. People with some types of chronical mental illness might be alive for 20, 30 or 60 years, but they never really got the chance to live. You watch the world pass by. And all the things everyone else wake up for every morning, the things that gives there life meaning, is the things you will never have, the things that destroy you. And that fact, is something you truly first understand when you have lived it. What it actually mean. what that is to carry. Also. As I am sure you know by now, it was a song they recorded 20 years ago. Its a very common thing. I think almost all bands have 2-5 extra song that does not make a cd. if you release the cd with 12 songs on it, you most likely have worked with around 15 for it. and then you cut and choose. So most bands that have been around for a long time will have a good amount of tracks they have created but never released.
Linkin Park released this song to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Meteora and yes it was so hard hearing Chester sing again, I cried. The lyrics hit so hard knowing what happened. I was also able to see them live at Reading Festival 2003, it was shortly after they released Meteora and is still the best concert I have been to. Rest in peace Chester your legacy will live on forever.

@@Killermcknight Awesome, I look forward to hearing what you think of it🤘
I feel like chester talks with us form the other world.😢
When he first launches into the chorus and those powerful vocals that we're all familiar with, I immediately had to turn it off and stop. It's so strange hearing brand new music from him, especially from his Meteora days. The band might have heard this one over and over again, but as a first time listener it sounds like he's literally shouting from beyond the grave...it's chilling. Combine that with the title of the song "Lost" and it hits even harder. Sort of has a double meaning with the song being lost in the archives and how he felt lost throughout his entire life. The lyrics are simple, but that's what allows Chester to deliver them with so much emotion. It's like he wrote down the first thing that came to mind and put all his heart and soul into singing it.
I couldn't imagine not wanting to hear more stuff from Linkin Park. Mike was the mastermind behind the band and I would love to support him and the rest of the band.
It was between this track an "Numb" to make the album because they sounded so similar and they chose Numb as the 12th track. watch the interview with Mike.
I can't say I cried but I was definitely saddened when I heard he died and I still miss Chester's voice in music today. Mike may have been the "mastermind" behind LP but Chester is the reason every song felt so earnest and relatable. That said, I think this reaction was one of the best I've seem from you guys. Far from detracting from the video, I think the personal discussion at the end elevates the video beyond a simple "get views from someone else's content" to something more transformative. The MV serves more as the prompt for your personal discussion rather than being the sole source of content for your video, and that's a Good Thing. I highly recommend trying to do this more in your other reactions, particularly to avoid copyright infringements and make a stronger case for free use. Love you guys, glad you're feeling better, and looking forward to seeing more from you both!
They are from the Meteora vault. Not included on the 2003 album. The 20th anniversary of Meteora is being released on April 7th.

Quite the opposite man. Hearing your stories about how ya'll first heard them or went to concerts is what makes this newly released song special. All of us that grew up listening to LP have those memories, and Lost brings it all back

This video was created by AI. All the clips are from live shows or music videos from the Meteora era. There is a couple videos that show how it was made, pretty freakin cool… RIP Chester…

Chester recorded this in 2002. I’m not sure if the music and production was done back then or if it was finished recently.
