I'm a producer and i have to say i couldn't agree with you more .. That scream in particular has so many overtones and harmonics.. You woudlnt even think that was humanly possible without a backing track. It's genuinely incredible. Chester was an absolute rarity and his memory will be cherished forever. RIP Brother.

since 2years i listen to lp addictively and his screams always gave me goosebumps but this one is too much for me. He literally sounds like possesed :p. Anyways the performance at rock am ring in 2004 was sooo sick, i literally regret that i wasnt born sooner just to go their concerts.

That part at 1:15 where he whispers "sick, sick, sick..." UGH haha so good.

Rest in peace Chester, this was Linkin Park's best phase, I miss it

I think that the shot at 2:29 is my favorite Chester's shot of all time. Rock am Ring has its unique features like some amazing screams and more close interactions with the audience, but everything in Live in Texas is perfect. All the songs was FLAWLESS. You go and listen to Faint (played on this concert) you really can't tell yourself if it's studio or not. This concert is the ABSOLUTE PEAK of Linkin Park.

@@ThePWM777 Its a simple inhale scream. Most people don't do them because you can hurt your voice really badly with inhale screams. My older brother called it a pterodactyl scream because you can go very loud and high with them. Like hurting your ears screeching level of high. You are basically yelling while at the same time inhaling a lot of air.

I was 12 (I'm 26 now) when I saw this video. I remember being absolutely blown away with the energy in this video. After watching this video is when I decided "I'm gonna be a musician one day, I'm gonna play guitar and be on a stage this big one day." This is THE VIDEO that made me want to pick up the guitar and become a musician. Thank you, Linkin Park! Thank you, Chester! ❤️

I was at this concert, and this specific song has always stayed with me. I was a huge LP fan and was 13, and I was snuck into the concert by my uncle and older sister. Chester sounds, whispers, and screams from this song have never been the same. But I've never heard this from him in any other performance of this song since.

My dad bought this album/dvd for me when I was 7 or 8. This many years later and it’s still the best live performance I’ve ever seen by any band. RIP Chester, thank you for helping so many of us, I just wish we could’ve helped you

Had this CD/DVD when I was 10 in 2003. Chester and Linkin Park will always have a place in my heart(head).

I remember playing this DVD on repeat as a teenager and watching this now brings back so many fond memories.
