how do you change buckets on the case backhoe

Thanks for this great video! Extremely helpful. Do you have to take any precautions to make sure dirt doesn't get in lines? Also, did you release pressure first using joystick like a couple people commented here? (I'm wondering if that's why it didn't spray).

I need to replace a dust seal on boom that links to the bucket on my JD35G. Do you have a video on that or do any of your friends?

I hate having to work on anything on the booms of machines because you gotta do it from a ladder or pull another machine up close by to get up on.

wish you had video of that incident on the boom, always funny when it happens to someone else. my worst was an old mack tractor trailer yard truck, body 3/4 way up hose blows out of coupling and shattered back window so hose pumping in cab, something deflecting oil from cylinder making it blow in cab. never thought to push in clutch to stop pto fellow workers literally rolling on ground laughing when they new I was ok and to top it off, go to the rag bag to find something to wear,lol.

no pressure relief , the nut on top of the steel line your hands on is a bleeder screw
@justinracine75663 жыл бұрын
You can actually release pressure engine off keyswitch on by wiggling the joystick, safer way to work and you're sure their's no pressure before removing hoses 😳

I can see it now, a new youtube channel: "Heavy equipment repair with Chris the mechanic" Once you finish up for the day you can go out night turn as a mechanic.

Chris, why don't you reseal the rams yourself? Pull it apart and take all the seals down to a local seal shop and tell them what they're off, and they should be able to match every seal and wipers, for a fraction of the price! The bigger rams are easier with the allen screws on the head, and the smaller rams, you use a bench vise and pipe wrench on the head.

You can get the cylinder apart, but the nut on the end of the rod on my machine is torqued to 5000 ft/lbs. You can't exactly break that loose with a 3 foot cheater pipe and a breaker bar.

Hydraulic oil shooting out and hitting a bystander is one thing,...but try HOT hydraulic oil under full pressure and hitting the 'BOSS' who is the bystander, and dressed in his Sunday best !!! I still laugh when I think about that story . I learned a lot of `new curse words`that day I can assure you.

No cylinders, fittings, or lines were harmed in the making of this video. Environmental impact study, pollution exemption waver and permit were not applied for prior to the making of this video. Special compensation not given to those appearing in the video, even though they got filthy dirty.
