"PENNSYLVANIA FURNACE" Lyrics:
Me and the dog we die together
Within the lord I cast off all my earthly bonds
There is victory in Jesus
Do you want to be in hell with me
I know you want to stop but you can’t stop
I’ve watched you alone
In the home where you live with your family
And all that I’ve learned is everything burns
Do you want to be in hell with me
I wish things could be any other way
I’ve watched you alone
In the home where you live with your family
But one thing I’ve learned is everything burns
Above all others
Above all
I fear your voice
Above all others above all
I fear your name
Above all others above all
Me and the dog we die together

“me and the dog, we die together” brings me to tears every time. growing up in a religious isolated home where my pets were my only friends it means something to me. maybe not what the singer intended but it means something.

Seeing Lingua Ignota live in Chicago earlier this year was pretty much the best decision I have made in ages. Not only was the show phenomenal, it even had an unexpectedly hilarious moment when someone passed out in the front row (that part was not hilarious, but the person was fine). Lingua Ignota forgot where she had been in the song when she stopped playing to check on the person (she later explained she is in a semi-fugue state while performing, so no surprise there). Someone in the audience shouted "dogs?" and Lingua Ignota nodded and said "dogs." *furious piano riffing* IF THE POISON WON'T TAKE YOU MY DOGS WILLLLL *audience goes nuts*

This is going to be a more accessible and less harsh album, which is fine, but I'm gonna miss the Lingua Ignota from All Bitches Die and Caligula. I thought she would be releasing something more like her last EP 'Agnus Dei' but nothing the like. This is just too mellow for my taste. I love how Kristin Hayter creates tracks such as these, they serve as high water marks and they’re so affecting, as with Caligula’s track 5 placement after the intensities of, for example, tracks 2 and 4. I just want to point out the incredible production in this. She managed to incorporate different elements of sounds you would hear with an actual furnace. From the high hats that sound like someone trying to ignite pilot light of a water heater/furnace down to the droney sound of metal and fire that fully ignites and bellows at the 3:10 mark. Even the organ itself when it comes in sounds almost metallic like a steam engine whistling. All these sounds were intentionally put in to signify the hellscape imagery she's trying to portray and it was just done so magnificently imo. Genius. She is a fucking genius. FYI if you have no idea what I'm talking about and can't hear this. Headphones. This is a quality headphones song.

This whole album is an absolute masterpiece frfrfr Utterly transcendent of some of the most intense musical experience’s corporeality - like there is a fucking masterful physicality behind these tracks.. it strips you. Constant chills, warmth, tears, reflective respite, unease - just so much force, and focus to it’s theme. A mf wild, cathartic, and inspiring experience af - and I’m not even religious So excited to go hear your other projects now, thank you for this 🤟🏻

Cant find the right words for this. But this is an intense, emotional, harrowing vision filled with colliding beliefs, rural atmosphere and deep selfreflection. Leaves an impact. This empty, end of the world, haunting rural vibe faintly reminds me of S4LEM. Although the genre is entirely different.
