Lindsay Lou's music is monolithic in its depth and individuality. It's hard to imagine about anything less coming from the daughter of a coal-miner and the grand daughter of a Rainbow Gathering healer. Her music is rich with complicated emotion and honesty.
First time we heard Lindsay’s music (Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys) was a live session on KZread. It was undeniable how special her voice was (and is) from the very first time hearing it. This song, and her new album, "Queen of Time" are a departure from the classic bluegrass styling of the Flatbellys but are no less captivating.
One thing is sure, her attitude fits ours. "I don't need the world to hear me to know that I'm singing.” We beg to differ. You listen up world.

I cried tears of joy listening to this the second time. Her voice feels so good as it flows over my heart. I can feel how much it means to her to live those moments, singing and playing her music. I feel profoundly inspired by her and the way she expresses herself. A true gem of a being! 🙏🌹🩵☯️

I hope I live long enough to see the next generation rebel by not getting tattoos. You have to see the pretentious in getting completely covered in meaninglessness just to fit in. I'm not speaking specifically about this performer. She isn't an example of the extremist I am referring to. The two triangles on her chest just triggered my thoughts about how tattoos have evolved to pathetic conformity. I am not insulting Ms. Lou. On the contrary, I love her song and triangles.
