Lindsay Lohan Transformation on My Mixed 5 Year Old Daughter. *Shocking

As a man raising girls, there are some things I just don't understand solely because I am a man. This experience of Maddie making a decision for herself with her body really brought that to light. When Maddie made the decision to go on with what we do in the videos it wasn't something I wasn't in agreeance with and Charlotte and I disagreed on. However, I did learn from this experience and I'm glad I'm learning it now while my girls are still young.

This is probably my favorite vlog everrrr! Big Parent Trap fan so you got me there, plus I loved the lesson about the girls making their own decisions. Maddie will be on board soon, I’m sure! Thank you for sharing! 👯♀️♥️

Lucca was soooo brave! I thought for sure after she was done, Maddie would then be down to do it. The first child is almost always the cautious one so that makes sense. Lol I love watching them grow and navigate this crazy world. Thank you for sharing your lives with us!!

I think another perspective - or lesson - here for Maddie could’ve been praise for her standing her ground. She thought she wanted it and decided, in the moment, that it wasn’t for her. She didn’t let the pressure of the moment make her do something she didn’t want to do. Which is important for girls. I think she should’ve been given a small token for that. That was a tough and very mature thing she did. By not giving her a treat - in this situation- it almost sends the message that she should’ve followed through even though she had changed her mind. She was penalized for it.

I so agree with this! - penalizing her for not sticking with her decision about her body. This could have confused her.

@@Cedthompson also, I’m not a parent, so I could be wrong. I think the idea of teaching the girls body autonomy, but then withholding a treat when they make a decision about their body is a bit contradictory. The contingency of making a decision then being rewarded for staying committed to that decision can be used in a different scenario. Chores would be a perfect contingency for teaching commitment. I hope I’m not overstepping.
@creating1_c1999

@@chelseam.stevens No. He told Maddie that she would get a treat for being brave. He knows this is a tough adventure and he's aware that she will fall back. That's why he offered the treat to encourage her to grit and bear the pain. Remember it was never his or Char's idea to force them, but to support them even when reluctant to follow through. Maddie was not punished. She simply didn't fulfill the contract for the treat, and chose not to be brave and that is okay. She's a solid intelligent child and this is the opposite of training a narc. He didn't say if you just try you'd get a reward. Understand military training, similarly. People who sign their life away for the protection of our freedom. Purple Heart is not given to those who simply put on the uniform--It's for the one who actually took injury or who paid that ultimate sacrifice (their life).

Hey @@chelseam.stevens appreciate the insight! We aren’t teaching the girls body anatomy, they are way to you for that. The lesson was more for Charlotte and I as parents. Not once did we speak to them about making decisions about there body because that’s not what this was about. Appreciate the love, kind words and the gentleness that you used! Much love ❤️
So very proud of Lucca!!! 🥰 Charlotte handled it beautifully by telling Maddie with firmness & comfort, that if she didn't want to do it, she didn't have to. I love that. Ced, your point of view on follow through, equalling reward, is valid. However, Maddie showed up & she TRIED, that's half the battle, especially at such a young age! Shout out to Lucca for setting an awesome example & sharing her goodies with her sister!❤️🥰
I really love the idea around setting the girls up with being in tune with their own body! I defer on the treat aspect side. I feel its ok to change your mind in regards to having something done to your body. So I feel Maddie should have had a treat! Please don't take this as a negative comment Please 🙏🏼💚

I had my daughter ears pierced when she was 6 weeks old…when she was a teenager she decided she wanted her tongue pierced and her nose. At her dental appointment the dentist told my daughter to be careful because other patients chipped their teeth with their tongue piercing…my daughter went home and removed her tongue piercing lol. You’re right Ced it’s important for children to earn things. You and Charlotte are doing an amazing job. Lucca was so cute. Love the skit with you and Maddie.

This is such a good video. I fully understand where Charlotte was coming from and even your lesson Ced about no reward if you don't meet fulfill the goal. I thought about it in respect of buying property or a car. You don't save...you don't get. I love watching both of you instill this in the girls. Maddie will do it one day. I love this! I was just saying, “you shouldn’t teach kids, you’re a winner if you didn’t win.” Society has trained kids to believe they get trophies and prizes just for showing up. I don’t think it’s right. We need to teach our kids, efforts and the work we put into a task is what we are rewarded for. To many kids these days have expectations based on pure existence…..”I want it, buy it, I need it”, and parents comply. Let the desire become a teachable moment. Congratulations for being solid parents!

yes. This is why there is an abundance of narcs. We have coddled them, bought them gifts when it wasn't their birthday, gave them ribbons when they didn't win the race, and allowed them to misbehave and take them shopping. I saw it happen with my own nieces and nephews. They have no legs to stand on.

Hey Ced! She's beautiful. Can't wait for this vlog.
This is awesome! I have a 6 month old baby girl, and my mother in law asked if I’ll be taking my daughter to get her ears pierced. I replied that, no, I will let my daughter make that decision on her own. She didn’t understand or agree but that’s okay. My husband and I are on the same page about how we want to raise our daughter, and that’s all that matters. Kudos to you for having an open mind and really working to understand why Charlotte wants the girls to make these kinds of decisions on their own. May God continue to bless your family 💖

Again great parents. Your wife hit the nail on the head because this is going to help those girls to have confidence to have strength and to know they have control over their body nobody else does. I wanted my ears pierced when I was a teenager and wasn't allowed to. I got them pierced when I was out on my own I was 18. The only thing about me having these pierced ears I couldn't where I didn't know anything but true gold they break out I even tried to wear the things that they say oh this will help people who's allergic no it doesn't not me anyway. So to see you guys being the excellent parents that you are it's allowing them to grow up to be beautiful wonderful confident women. This is a beautiful loving family.

I never thought of that either but what a wonderful thing of your wife to teach her daughters to have control over their choices and body And in this way they can grow up to be strong independent female adults that won’t allow anyone (esp. men) to control them .. And will make choices because they want to & not because they need to or feel pressure to do it .. Wow so powerful & so very important in raising girls esp in todays society!! And that was amazing how Lucca is so much more braver than her sister yet she’s the youngest But she took the lead… Good for her!!👍 Because sometimes younger siblings get lost, intimidated or become submissive to their older sibling & it could carry throughout their lives. Go Lucca! 💪 You have a very special and wise wife! Love your family Love your family channel!!🙌💯

THAT INTRO IS EVERYTHING OMG
I have to commend you and Charlotte on your thought process. I remember when my daughter arrived home from school asking for a tattoo and I kindly said when you're 18 then we can talk about it again. I had to explain to her that a tattoo is a permanent mark on your body. When she turned 18 we talked about it and she ended up getting one. Women should be independent and make decisions for themselves. I totally agree with you and Charlotte. You two are raising some beautiful daughters. Much love guys❤💕💕

I’m glad you are teaching that now . Some think everyone gets the trophy even if they do not win. What does that teach? No matter what you do, you will be rewarded and they take that into adulthood and most often will hit many brick walls and unfortunately cannot handle it in a mature way. This is just my opinion, respectfully.
Can I just say, I actually pierced my ears exactly like this after watching the parent trap, and I was 12😂😂 so this is really funny to me

Luca has to meet my daughter because they are the same person! Lol
I think this lesson is good for certain situations but not necessarily with this situation as this wasn’t a situation where it could make or break her. this was an piercing and she should have the right to change her mind because it’s not harming her or anyone else. As a young woman or girl you want to make sure she understands that just because she said yes to certain situations she can change her mind and say no. I definitely get where you’re coming from because we also want to teach our children to think before they do or say they will do something. so they don’t get use to going back on their words.. great perspective from you both.. I don’t think one is better then the other.. I think with Luca Charlotte perspective is visible. Because she wanted to sit on her own and had very little reaction. But with Maddie your perspective is visible.. fear of the pain is what may have held her back form going through with it..
I love it! Her body, Her decision 💯💞

Can I say that tge piercing of the ears, I had never thought of it that way with my girls. This was something that was done when they were a couple of months old and my only son had his ears pierced when he became 17 years old . Crazy enough he made that decision himself, but after looking at through you guys view and I am a mother, I didn't give them that option. So, this has been an interesting lesson. BTW.. My kids are 26, 23 and 18 and I am still learning new things. Continue to empower your girl and one another. Much Love
Wow!! That's unique that Charlotte thought that deep into ears pierced
Your girls remind me of my lil sister and I
I didn't get my ears pierced until middle or high school. The same for my 2 sisters as well. My mom saved that decision for us and she wasn't even the one who took us to get it done because she doesn't have pierced ears.

I pierced my own back in 7th grade lol but that didn’t last long because that’s when I found out that I’m allergic to metal. I tried it again in my 20’s and it still happened, so now at almost 34 I don’t have my ears pierced anymore.
wow. Luca. fierce. lovely
She's a good actor!
@ced as a Hispanic women I didn’t get to make that choice we usually get them done as babies for majority of Mexican women lol what do you think for a boy as a boy mom I never wanted to get my son ears pierced because I felt like it was to feminine but recently my 14 year old son got his ears pierced and the reason I let him because it was something he wanted and because he a good kid overall and does good in school so that’s why I also said yes 😅 what’s your opinion for boys ?
Nope...never had mine pierced. Never going to. Now you know one lady who never did.👵🏾 Loved the video😄
I’m 46 and just got my ears pierced lol, had a dad who didn’t allow us to get a piercing till I was an adult.
I know from my own personal experience being rewarded for good behavior or being rewarded for good works was somewhat damaging to me when it came to my relationship with God. God is not like people and He’s given us Grace that was never earned or deserved. He blesses us everyday even though we may not deserve it. At times I forget that and look at God like He operates like people. Sometimes I think maybe things aren’t going my way because I didn’t do something or because I did something wrong or maybe God is punishing me because of my lack of commitment or obedience but I’ve realized to be in Christ means security no matter how many times I fail, He brings complete freedom despite our human nature. I completely understand the lesson at hand though. Raising children is a difficult job that definitely takes guidance from the Holy Spirit. I guess it’s all about balance.
Wow Maddie looks exactly like Ced as a toddler!
