Chantelle should have told her parents what gray was doing to her. No sympathy. She stayed too long until it was too late. But what was Linda's problem? She kept tormenting Mick. He was pretty loyal. She initiated divorce no? Even though Mick told people never give up on the one you love even when miserable

I haven't been sold on drunken Linda, but her reaction to Mick announcing that they were getting a divorce was heartbreaking - like she felt her whole world was gone. She's still a bloody mess though lol

... because the writers are sadistic picks who love ripping relationships apart and then say it's to bring "awareness" to alcoholism, Phil already did that, as did Lauren...... I don't buy it, they pinpricked this couple all the way through, rape, Linda's cancer, Micks emotional affair with Whitney, Ollies Autism diagnosis and now Linda is a raving alcoholic. Just like they do with Murder, Rape, assault, kidnapping etc. Hell the Vic itself has had nine break-ins and two fires in the last 10 years and even at one point there were 4 murderers living in Albert Square.

She said on This morning Linda always drank a glass or two a day and it was always there, but eventually got worse. Alcohol everyday can turn a person to be a functional alcoholic or dysfunctional. Your liver taking a hit every single day isn't good.

@Anne Phair yes but a lot of us watch hoping for a glimpse of positivity, escapism because life is already stressful, there's no where to turn in EE, Calum death threat, Ben's evilness, Linda going mental, Honey leaving her family because she's now anorexic, Grey is a wife beater, it's all misery, misery, misery, l actually love Karen Taylor, she's got the hardest job of them all and yet they made her almost lose Keanu. Some people watch to escape real life and then are faced with more crappy negative bs 🙄. My sister isn't going to quit drinking because Linda is getting leary in the Vic. People already know there's an issue.

Can't really see how Linda will get back from this story arc, it's clear to say that the writers have really butchered her character. Even if she does recover and redeem herself, the square won't have forgotten what they've seen and ultimately her credibility will fall if anything.
