It Worked!! Thank you!! I have a 2006 Navigator. I came outside in the morning and my liftgate was open. I had to shut it manually but, it would not fully latch and lock. I drove around a little bit and the liftgate was rattling. I tried opening and shutting the glass only a few times. I tried locking and unlocking all the doors multiple times. The power liftgate was not working. I finally manually opened it and forced the lock over as you instructed. I had to manually open/close the door a couple of times and then hit the power liftgate button on the remote and it finally reset!! Thank You!!!!

I have the same problem with my 2003 navigator but the locking mechanism won't click or lock.. any advice

Are You in Britain ? Can’t imagine the cost of running that over there ... it has the triton 5.4 3v ?

The right rear seat does not lie down, only the left one, what could be the problem?

Mine looped closed and I thought I couldn't unlatch that mechanism to close the tailgate....all I had to do was pull the outer handle and it popped open again. This trick didn't work for me so I am going to check the fuses/relays and if not I am guessing the motor is shot.
