It's funny, I said the same thing about Tom Dumont from No Doubt the other day. They actually aren't though... as they are all highly respected, and that's how you get into guitar magazines and sell millions of records and international tours. Haha. But I know what you mean. The instrumentals of their tracks were really solid, it's a shame they had such a mediocre ass clown as a front man.

I've been a fan of this band since I discovered them on MTV in 1999 when I was 14 years old. I stopped listening to them when they released their fourth album, and many years went by until I recently felt like listening to them again. I recently discovered these instrumental versions and I've loved them. Over the years, I realized that, in my opinion, they are great musicians. Fred also seems to me, in his style, a great vocalist, but these instrumental pieces are so amazing. Listening to these pieces relaxes me and takes me back to my adolescence when I used to blast them at full volume in my room. Good times. Thanks for upload this.

This is their best song, lyrics and vocal performance wise. It's still better without Fred because he really sucks, but it's the one song you only need to change the vocalist and not the whole vocal performance to make it great.
