Saw them at the 1999 KROQ Weenie roast. I had never heard of them before. They completely BLEW ME AWAY! They brought it! F'ing great show. One of the best concert events I've ever been to. Trash fight broke out in the middle of Blink 182's set. Blink's Mark Hoppus came out butt naked. Just sneakers and bass guitar. I had never heard of Kid rock either. Crowd went crazy for Kid rock. Kid rock sucked. I was not impressed at all. We were there to see Metallica and they were F'ing great. Metallica fans ruled the place! We were up on the lawn and between the acts people would stop and yell up and ask if you were here to see Red Hot Chili Peppers and you'd hear a couple people say " Ya Chili Peppers". Then they would say "Or are you here to see Metallica?" and the WHOLE PLACE would say MEEETTTTAAALLLLICCCCAAAA!! Was funny as hell. I like the peppers but no one stuck around for their set. We left after a couple of songs. Limp Bizkit was awesome! Instant fan. Went out the next day and bought 'Significant Other' CD. They were the best act next to Metallica. Saw them again the next year at the 2000 Weenie roast too.
