🇮🇹🤔WHY IS IT CALLED LIMONE SUL GARDA THAT? However, these are not derivatives of the 'lemon' fruit, but, based on the most recent studies in toponymy, «rather reflections of an ancient word of Celtic origin silt, lemos = “elm”»; therefore Limone = "place characterized by the presence of elm trees"
