There was another but the kid couldn't be contacted cause he was Special Forces or something. It was a different time we mustn't forget

Seeing Buzz Lightyear feels so surreal to me. I know this episode is from 97, and Toy Story came out in 95, but Surprise Surprise has such a terminally mid 80's feeling to me. That corny theme song, the camera quality, the way Cilla dresses. Every episode feels like it's recorded in some pocket dimension where time is stuck in 1986.

"Surprised they didnae put subtitles up". I keep trying to explain to the family how much things have changed. The only other thing on the the telly was 'theres been a murder'. They all think it's always been like it is noo. Lorraine Kelly would have laughed out the room.
