I Like this series very much. Have only recently started to playe AOE2 again and it is amazing how little impact APM seems to have. I am around 1200 ELO and I am trying to get hotkeys right and stuff, but in the end the decision making is what wins you games. Sometimes I tend to forget in the heat of a battle... this series is a good reminder.

I mean APM has a pretty big impact, considering TheViper is probably going to reach about1600-1700 elo this way, compared to his usual 2400.

With your army spread out on the map, you can eventually get away without microing at all. There's limited number of units a human can control at once. That can be your huge advantage, since you seem to always have the correct unit combo in the field.

The Limited games are great to watch, I can actually follow what's going on.

I'm terrible at this game, but isn't it better to go a 2nd or even 3rd TC when you hit Castle before building the Castle? And aren't Mangudai not as good in the Castle Age without the Imp upgrades compared to Steppe Lancers?

@@slungellife idk viper has been getting humiliated on a daily basis for the last year or so. Wouldn't surprise me at all. Not to mention his name doesn't hold that much strength anymore.. unfortunately it's only a matter of time before my favorite channel dies off 😭

@@cwnhaernjqw Viper is far from being as dominant as he used to, but it's basically only Hera that's in a league of his own. Viper has the 2nd highest price pool earnings of all aoe2 players in 2023. Also do you know which player always talks super highly of Vipers current ability? Hera. I wouldn't worry too much honestly.

Great content as always, but do please consider using new user name from time to time. Opponent knowing you cannot micro is so much valuable and advantageous.
