This reminds me of the style they did for the most recent shadowbringers job action trailer with a little extra 'oomph' on the camera work. I also appreciate the comparison on damage versus the other jobs as well. Exceptional job!!!

One of the best they've made for aesthetics. We wanted to record that one in a special location.

Love hell when you were displaying all of the limit breaks you showed them in different viewpoints and viewpoints they really can be seen while in game along with all the cuts you made and transitions just were phenomenal

This was really hecking well put together and edited! A great source of information on the various LBs in the game and what they do, while also showing off what they look like. Absolutely brilliant!

I don't think I've ever seen Tank LB2 til today. Fab job!

The sound design in FFXIV is generally incredible. Some actions carry a lot of weight just from their sounds.

It was all done with GPose recordings in Explorer Mode dungeons!

There's a lot of little details in the LBs that we as players miss because we don't get much of a chance to focus on them in the heat of battle. This was one of the nice ones that was caught!

Idk if it's just me but every time I use melee lb1 it just sounds like a cat lmao Phenomenal editing, I got the goosebumps watching this

With how beautiful each LB animation is I kinda wish they had more secondary effects/abilities that could play more into the strategy. Like idk using the DRK lb puts a bleed debuff on enemies or the AST cast haste on the party. With the class lbs doing something similar (melee increases damage, tank raises resistance, healer increases health temporary)

Dark Knight: May I offer you a shadow egg in these trying times?

Played this game for years and never knew the LB gauge fills passively every 3 seconds in combat. No wonder as you clear content faster you seemingly get LB gauge "slower" cause you're beating the content faster w/ higher item level.

An additional reason that ilvl can make it fill more slowly is that with the extra hp it can make low hp healing LB not happen as you're not brought down to

In my understanding, a Healer LB3 is more valuable than a Melee LB3, DPS-wise, if it can raise just two or more people, because of the avoided Weakness debuff. Melee LB3 should be seen as the "use it if no other LB is required" option, not the only option.

It's important to recognise the value of the options available given the situation. If an encounter in early prog has a tight DPS check with all LBs used on Melee LBs, then even 1 or more deaths are going to cause the DPS check to fail unless the team burns really hot in their damage RNG. If the DPS check is much more lenient where Melee LBs only serve to speed up a kill, not guarantee it, then you can get away with more deaths. Healer LB3 is very good for recovery insurance in case something goes disastrously wrong and is a mainstay of farms where deaths and mistakes do happen. However, in certain settings like an optimised run, or speed run, the goal is to never have to use it and have as clean an execution as possible. All in all, it'll depend on the need and situation.

I wish SE could rework some of this LB for endwalker, like reduce the particle effect of rdm, or make pld and warrior's LB cooler looking, especially pld lol, all dps jobs have an amazing looking LB. And healers too so I think it'd be a good idea to improve the tanks LB animation :/

Land Walker, Astral Stasis, Gun Metal Shot the non-dps LB’s take the cake for me.

I love blm meteor looks so sick in game

RDM LB3 additional effect: raid wipes because they can't see anything but the screen being nuked.

That's correct. Ranged LBs will always be 90% of the same level Caster LB, but they resolve more quickly especially LB3. They do require a target, whereas Caster LBs can be precast which helps mitigate the sting of being in a longer animation lock.

Wait... are Physical Ranged LBs supposed to deal less damage than Caster LBs? I'm pretty sure they have the same listed potencies in-game (1650, 3600, 6150).

Ranged LBs actually do not have any descriptions as all of the original descriptions came from ARR era. In Heavensward, instead of Bard using healer LBs, Ranged were given their own. The potencies in the descriptions are actually misleading and not true to the damage values that we see to date as the ratios are all wrong from what we have recorded. What ended up being confirmed was Ranged being 90% of the equivalent level Caster LB, however, Ranged LBs fully resolve faster especially at LB3.

We chose to keep things to player only PvE LBs. There's a few extras that could have been considered as well, such as PvP Adrenaline actions, or Squadron Ungarmax.

The lb3 info isn't on screen long enough to really be read. Side that great vid.

When we get around to adding the CCs we'll keep them on screen a bit longer there as an option so there isn't as much a need to pause to read.

@@ProfessM This is something i stressed over for a long while, getting the text just right was not easy, the way I was going about it. The video has been a learning process and ultimately I agree with you. I'm going to hammer down a better method for the text that should be more readable and easier to produce in future videos
