In this video it is Sheffield Wednesday vs Rotherham United away in Rotherham at the New York Stadium in the 2023/24 EFL Championship Season!
Wednesday went into this game off the back of 2-1 home win to Bristol City whilst Rotherham United went into this game off the back of multiple straight defeats!
The game started off well for the Owls and Wednesday piled on the pressure from the first minute and had so many chances, and we should have scored multiple goals in the first 30 minutes!
Wednesday thought they opened the scoring within about 30 minutes through Akin Famewo but it was ruled out to be offside by the linesman, even though looking back it was definitely onside.
Then Wednesday had a huge penalty shout waved away when Akin Famewo again crossed the ball but it blocked by the Rotherham Player's arm, despite this though, the Referee saw nothing wrong and played on.
Wednesday went into half time quite disappointed not to be winning with the half time scoreline showing, HT Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Rotherham United!
Then, in the second half, Wednesday didn't start as well as they did in the first and took them a while to get going again but approaching the 70th minute Wednesday broke the deadlock through Ike Ugbo once again, Dominic Iorfa's pass across the box found Ugbo who slotted it home to put the Owls in front, Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Rotherham United!
And despite a few other chances from Rotherham United with a ball cleared off the line by Barry Bannan and Malik Wilks hitting the post, The Owls managed to hold on for all 3 points away from home! The full time scoreline being FT Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Rotherham United!
Another vital 3 points especially when everyone around us won as well and hopefully we can keep this up and stay up this season with Danny Rohl!
Onto Plymouth at home on Tuesday, come on the Owlssss!

go on the Wednesday, another 3 points in the bag, its crazy at the bottom atm, qpr winning a few on the bounce as well, i think you'll survive tbh, out of everyone down there id love to see wednesday stay up, great fans, always a packed away end, proper football club, no gimics, goal music or light shows, just football, got to love it.

Yeah big win for us, Rotherham were awful! Shame about Wycombe, Barnsley are quite good though at the moment.

Freakish results going against us ffs QPR winning, Huddersfield drawing, Stoke winning...We just need to keep winning and hope one of the teams above us lose ...We must keep on believing.. Great video as always young man ☘️💪🏻

Cheers mate appreciate it! If we keep winning like I hope we will, especially with the way we are playing, eventually these teams will lose because they have to play each other and we still have to play QPR and Stoke etc.

Great video Ben! We are still suffering from that goal famine. Poveda needs to keep his head down when he shoots. Musaba needs to be a little less selfish when is near the goal. Ugbo is doing great. We need Josh back. Our goal difference seems to be a lost cause, so we need to gain four points over our closest rivals above us.

Cheers mate! Agree with you entirely but honestly with the way we are playing im hoping that the goal difference won’t be much of a factor, with the amount of teams on 38 points, at least a few of them will slip up soon! Anyways, looking forward to Josh being back, UTO!

Cheers mate! I do want to tone down the swearing but sometimes I can’t really control it especially at away games! I swear if you see me in person i’m a much different person I only really swear at Wednesday 😅
