The ending would be okay if there were lots of happy moments of them to be cherished but no they gave us little happy moments and all they gave was broken hearts so the ending was devastating.

They never got a chance to love each other even though they wanted to love each other so badly. You can see it with their eyes and actions but they never got to confess. Youngro heard sooho confession and by then it was too late. This series is so devastating

I finally realized the title Snowdrop wasn't about them managing to get through the "harsh winter' together and have their relationship bloom (kept wishing for this kinda ending until the last ep...) BUT about Sooho who was frozen inside for his whole life until meeting Yeongro and finally blooming flowers of love in him!! Yeongro was Sooho's snowdrop!! His confession at the end broke me 😭 😭 😭

i’m heartbroken from this kdrama. although it was a stressful ride, i especially loved yeongro and sooho’s chemistry. i’m going to miss them so much and i still can’t believe the ending and the fact that it’s over already. snowdrop has a very special place in my heart that i will never forget. the ending was really tragic and she literally saw him get shot right in front of her :( it made me even more sad when she said beforehand, something about wishing to see him sing at a coffee shop. at the very last minute, it came true and it made me cry so much because they finally looked happy, especially after the emotions that the kdrama gave us although i know it’s not the actual ending. sooho was yeongro’s superhero, and yeongro was sooho’s lover. i’m still SO SAD about the ending tho UGHH IM GONNA MISS THEM

People are crying over the ending and I get it. It's sad but throughout the last few episodes they kind of built it up to the ending. Like they acknowledged the fact that weren't ordinary couple, going out on dates . But it could have ended with soo hoo going to other country and then met up after the elections were over .. everything's back to normal and they both live together . Now that no one's after her . Still it's very heartbreaking

this was the ending i expected. their love was sad. but it was beautiful. sometimes the happy ever after everyone wants is not good. for Snowdrop, it was necessary to have a sad ending. one of them had to live and mourn for their love. i am glad ending is sad.

I notice the paper plane. I think maybe she will leave the dorm, she might or not might come back,but she wrote, I contact you soon, maybe she will come back. After that scene, they showed her crying in the past after listening to suho confession. And after a year we see her entering the café, touching the seats and stacking up the matchsticks just like their first date. Labeling she will never forget it in her life even thought its her past. Its like she is saying goodbye to everything she had in that place but she imagining their afterlives proves she will never get it out from her head. Proves that she stills loves him. she is living the live as she promised to suho. whether she is married or loving someone else, she will never forget the man that sacrifice herself. She will always remember him even though its her first love . It more like titanic where Rose continue to live her life as what she promised to Jack. Youngro is doing it too, she is living the life as what she made the promise to suho but we can see that she still has never gotten away with the past,as she is looking out the window thinking about him. the conclusion was not written well. we don't know what happen to her but we all know that the moment she entered the cafe where they both met(at the café) and imagining her life with him, meaning she will always cherish the moments of him and will never forget about him even though it was like a dream and she will continue to life her live in the past. the little smile after she touch his seat...ugh she is still in love with him. we all have our own understanding about the ending. for me its like she is having her last moment at the cafe thinking about him,saying goodbye or taking a break from what happen and imagining their afterlives, but not forgetting him. as she still hold the tape and his necklace. but gais, eventhough i wrote it that long, i still don't really understand the ending from young side. Many people said that she came back to the cafe for a blind date and reminded of suhoo. Some people said that she always come back to cherish the moment Some people told the paper plane is her saying goodbye for a while to all the past and to recover from the tragic past Some said its her way of talking to suho Some said,Young Ro revisits the cafe she first met Su Ho and remembers him, she listens to the cassette tape of his confession to her and cries. Some said Young-ro is at the cafe where she had first seen Su-ho and listens to his tape while imagining the alternate life they could have had together. if anyone is Korean,please read whats written in the paper plane. i honestly still dont understand the ending. the imagination of their afterlives was for us to recover from the heartbreak but she also could think it when she revisted the cafe.....ughhhhh i dont understand also gais,if she leaves the dorm, we cant guarantee she is alright because even after a year she stills never forget about suho and all the past. and the paper plane, what's it. why she wrote ill miss you and ill contact you soon. i dont understand. even if she left they should've shown how is her live. and the afterlives scene, is she imagining it or is it for us

Still crying and feeling empty. We all knew that there will never be a happy ending for them but we hoped and prayed. Throughout the last episodes, I can finally understand that they can’t have a happy ending simply because all of the people they loved is hurting because of them. In the end, they sacrificed the love they have for each other. Idk why but this kdrama lingers through my heart and all I feel is pain. I feel Youngro’s pain. The pain of losing someone you loved eventhough you did everything for them. All the things she did just so she can call SooHo hers but in the end, she was left alone.

I thought they would show Suho and Youngro be reborn in the current year where Suho sing at the cafe and Youngro went there everyday. It would be better that way though. Everyone is happy but Youngro lost everything. Her family, the man she love and her friends. Why can't they give her their best friendship back 😭

No. I guess alot of u will come after jtbc for an unneceptable ending...but tell u what, at the very first trailer..we already have a clue whats the story is all about. The sufferings and tragic plot has no hope for a happy ending...not for sooho. BECAUSE...he knew he will stand and do his duty as a spy. In order to do that he musn't let his feelings and emotions pass through..which has changed since he met young ro. But he still went for his duty and knew he will give young ro and her friends great pain. Which she can't (even sooho) forgive. But....the story teaches us many things in our reality today has. Its not always happy ever after. Theres always memories of some thing we cannot forget. Imagine the trauma youngro gets. Which sooho can't forgive himself to break her heart.

I don’t think I’ll be rewatching snowdrop any time soon… the actors were great. Jisoo was amazing.. and I knew that there was not going to be a happy ending.. a lot of things pointed to it.. but I’m such an empath.. I feel emotions 1000x more than the average person..and it was just such a roller coaster of emotions for me.. something I don’t really like to put myself through.. 😭 it was just so much sadness.. she lost her mom.. her brother.. her love… then her dad to jail.. I don’t see how anyone would have the will to live or be ok for many years to come.. they really fucked Yeong-Ro over😭😭

This hurts like hell.. My heart is really broken because the finale is like this. Sooho's death has really ruined me and I don't know how to recover. Now I can't stop thinking about Youngro and Sooho. Because their story is incomplete. The two couldn't even say 'I love you' to each other. Oh god, I don't know how I'm gonna get through this finale. Snowdrop will always be very special to me. Actually, I was expecting such an ending, but it still saddened me and made me cry a lot. Because despite everything, I still had hope that there would be a happy ending... But it didn't happen. I feel so so so sad for Yeong ro. Ending for me was rushed! I expected that one of them will die because I dont see any ways that they could be together but think about Yeong ro, she lost her brother, her first love, her dad is in jail and her friends are mad at her. Just listening to the tape isnt a satisfying ending for me. I kinda wish I could see her graduate and like she would get their picture together on the bulletin board, or Yeong ro is older and she’s ok with her life and this is just something that she would relive in her memories. That would’ve been better, What happened to the scheme between the North? I mean yeah we know they didnt win but you know a little more pls. We all know they are powerful people, of course they would not sit by not getting the 300 million dollars? They just showed them walking to prison lol. Also, what happened to Soo ho’s body?! The news, like did the news even say that Soo ho actually helped the students escape. And what about the students?! Not just the last 30 students but the first ones. Another thing that’s bothering me is the family of the agents in the North! I know Soo ho wished to Cheong ya to have their families get out of there but knowing how brutal the North is how could they be sure that their families are still alive? I wish there was atleast 30 mins more from the last episode or Soo ho died a bit earlier to give proper conclusion to the story and the characters.

Honestly... I was both hurt and disappointed with the ending. I didn't like the way they handled the script. And not because I expected a happy ending, but because in the end I was left with this feeling: why so much suffering? for what? To the point where I would have preferred them both to have died. The ending doesn't even give you a future epilogue that shows that YoungRo was able to move on and be happy at some point. Doesn't even leave a message regarding the entire conflict... It's like reading the same sad chapter of a Colleen Hoover's book 10 times and never getting to the end. When I saw The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, which has a similar ending, as shattered as I was, I felt like the ending was right. Devastating yes, but it was correct. And I will always love their love story. But in this drama... The romance is poorly developed from the beginning, it lacked a lot of consistency. And in the end they didn't even have time to live it, so the pain is for everything that could and should have been. Not for what it was. And in the end it feels like it was all in vain. Even look at it. I love HaeIn, I never miss his projects. And I loved JiSoo in her debut, but I hope I see them again in another kind of story. And with a better ending. PD: Absolutely love your edit! 😭💖 I'm going to hurt myself a little more and repeat it... For a long time 😭😂🤦

Totally agreed. The Colleen Hoover analogy is spot on. I was expecting hope for Yeongro's character but even in that we are made to suffer and bring the sadness and disappointment even outside the drama. The episodes for me, honestly were dragging and the progress was barely there but i was holding on thinking of if not happy atleast a just ending. But alas, we never were granted.

I strongly disagree I believe that the writer made a beautiful story...if youngro died the sacrifices of suhoo would have been in vain that's why he said you should live no matter what.. snowdrop tells a story of impossible love yet made it possible all the emotions are their and I learned a lot from greed, jealousy, politics, betrayal, loyalty, friendship trust and true love..I will always and still watch snowdrop even if I cried over and over again that's how beautiful snowdrop is. Love ain't always about fun and rainbows true love is selfless, true love is to sacrifice, love is unconditional, even death love will always prevail.....

@@iane2703 Exactly! I mean, the sadness factor had become repetitive and tiresome, especially since it always revolved around YoungRo. At least I hoped the ending would make you feel like "it was worth it". But it didn't happen. I finished it and the feeling of pointless was greater than even the anguish. That says a lot. It's such a shame... the acting was incredible and the story had everything to be unforgettable.

i didn't like the ending.im so heartbroken by the fact he is dead. I know he will die somehow but not like this. what happen to the doctor, his sister and the white flower the agent was holding. so many mysterious things needs to be resolved. and please i really want them so badly in another drama same like this but with a happy ending. I like the set up and they really suit this type of retro drama. I cnt believe they end it without knowing what YR will be doing in the future, her friends ,family . i hope they end it like titanic but im so depressed rin. but not forgetting damm their acting nailed it. the best drama ever but i don't think i cant watch it again

The ending was really dissapoint me because they have been through a lot and they deserve the happy ending. I accept the ending if they were have a lots of good things to remember or happy moments to cherish but nothing, there have nothing, they just give us a little and all i know is they were suffering a lot for the situation and for everything and that's really broke my heart😭. After all they have been through are they still don't allow to be genuinely happy? That's the big question that stock up on my head after i watch the ending and until now😭

Honestly, I cried while watching the last episode however I am still disappointed in general The drama had so much potential but I don't like the way it turned out. From ep 7 to 13 felt dragging, contrary to the last 3 episodes who were fast paced. Especially the last one, like everyone here I wanted to know what happened to the other characters and how is Yeong Ro's life now that she has no family, no love and no friends(?) Also, is she still a student at Hosu university? The biggest quality of snowdrop was the great acting
