I hope you see this comment, as a way to bring more knowledge to my folklore. Here in Brazil we have a tale about a river marmeid called Iara, she is from a indian tribe. The story goes that she was used as a sacrifice for the tribe but after the goodness of the moon fell in love with her she changed Iara into a mermaid, and now she lure firsherman into the Amazon River as revenge. And she also is a guardian of the endangered river life.

Every tale come from tribes or slaves (from colonial times) and the creatures always have as only purpose protect the forest and wild life in it, against hunters, excessive fishing, illegal wood chopping etc.. Recently local tv even started a series likewise Supernatural, about the creatures it's a paranormal investigation, but is a fantasy series not a documentary. I would love if someday you would represent 1 creature from it s2 thank you so much for your amazing work and attention to your fans

It's better to say "indigenous" or "natives", because otherwise they will understand "indians" like people from India, not our "índios" :)

i saw her at the end of enchanterium's video and HAD to come after the video bc it immediately reminded me of two stories from brazilian folklore: iara's tale and the origin of the lily pad! i always loved dolls and our folklore so this one feels like a dream come true. and the wheelchair was just the cherry on top just... wow wow wow

I love Lily!! It's really cool that you made a mermaid based off a freshwater fish! The colors and design are lovely! Her tail sculpt is amazing. I appreciate that you included pelvic and anal fins, those are often lost in merfolk designs. Fish have many fins and artists are missing out on them! Her lily pad bra and hat are so cute, as are the flowers. I adore her face, the lines and colors are so smooth and soft. Her eyes are pretty too. And I love that you gave her a wheelchair!!

The coloring is just like a trout. Wow! I was wondering about the land based wheel chair until you made it all swampy and then I thought it was perfect!

It’s my head canon now that someone drowned their old grandmother/father by pushing them off a pier into a lake and Lilly snatched up their wheelchair.

She turned out beautiful!!! The color gradation on the tail is AMAZING!!! And i really love how glossy it is! Her eyes have the prettiest hint of shimmer to them, i really like how that turned out. Regarding eyebrows, have you thought about including them on the 3d printed face sculpt so that all you have to do is go in and use pencil on the sculpted eyebrows? That way they would match and you wouldn't have to draw them on from scratch.

I love that idea for specific character where they're expressions are already predetermined. But for more generic face sculpts I'd prefer to leave them blank for more opportunity for different expressions!

@@ICOULDDOTHATDIY Hmm my Life mermaid is going to be in fresh water, while looking at the beta fish tail fin I would have to use some sort of fabric one that won't frail instead of using freezer bags to make the fins. as for her weapon a harp staff, harp, Lotus scepter 1. Rainbow Trout 2. Beta fish 3. Koi fish Which fish would be easier for me so make so I could save some materials for future doll projects? Fill free to leave a comment & share any idea's.

On honey doll can you make both sides of laughing jack his dark and sweet sides or maybe do a half and half on one doll?
