Lily Savage Funniest Moments: Try Not to LAUGH RIP

Ойын-сауық

Lily Savage was a pioneering Drag Queen that broke ground in the 90s as the first Drag Superstar to lead daytime and primetime TV. Becoming a benchmark by which comedy is judged, Savage's influence is vivid among all British Drag to this day. A persona that was retired nearly 20 years ago, it's harrowing to know, Lily's burgeoning comeback into a entertainment once more has prematurely stopped.
Lily leaves behind a body of master class comedy.

You are so right. I couldn't believe the huge sadness I felt, and that I actually cried for someone I have never even met. Yet he felt such a part of my life. I grew up watching Lily Savage when she first appeared, and I was in my early 20's. I introduced my Mom to the character, and we would both laugh our heads off watching her. Paul had a wonderful, warm personality, and even though we never met him, we felt like we knew him. He is a massive loss to all who loved him.😞

I feel the world has lost 2 great humans at once, Lily and Paul. Because though he gave us Lily, of course he was very different out of drag and I saw them as 2 different people so RIP Lily Savage ❤ RIP Paul O'Grady❤

The best nights out I had were at clubs with Drag Queen comedians. None of them could top Lily though. Never got to see her live, only on T.V. Paul O'Grady created such an amazing character.

How he could deliver these lines and keep a straight face is beyond me, and the lightening fast ad libs were beyond genius.

You can never get a drag Queen down. They make it look easy. Being a member of the LGBTQ community Paul and Lily help their own part quietly. Will be missed but in my faith wherever Paul goes next I hope they will make us laugh again.

I'd always hoped Paul would bring Lily back out of retirement as a one off now that we have our own drag race. I would loved to have seen him as lily on there as a guest judge or a werk room mentor. I also would have loved to have seen him go up against Bianca Del Rio. Some dreams just are never meant to be. R.I.P Lily/Paul. Absolute legend

Lily redrew the lines between a standup and a drag act, and excelled at both. She was political, and hostly, and ferocious, and scabrous, and fast, and fearless, and I thought that the intellect and sharp choices she displayed, and Paul O'G subsequently modelled less theatrically, were brilliant.
