Lilly Palmer hatte neben ihrer großen und vielseitigen künstlerischen Begabung ein ganz ungewöhnliches Charisma als Frau. Ihr geradezu historisch klassisch schönes Gesicht hat mich immer an Nofretete erinnert Und an das faszinierende Gesicht von Greta Garbo. Ich hätte mir Lilly Palmer im gleichen Rollenfach wie GG als Hollywood Star in der Stummfillmära vorstellen können, Irgendwie hatte sie nicht die richtigen Rollen, Schade.

To his credit, the fact that Harrison married her in the first place puts him in some esteem in my eyes. And it is worth noting that when he died, part of his ashes were spread on Lilli Palmer's grave and no other woman's.

She definitely loved women as well. She was passionately in love with her female teacher for four years. And she was obviously "not just acting" with Romy Schneider while filming "Mädchen in Uniform" (Artur Brauner quote).
