I love how “relay” and random this relay dance is. I appreciate the groups choreographing the relay dance but I feel that too much choreography in a relay dance loses its essence of it being fun when another member gets the part of another. Agreed completely. When these relay dances started way back when, they were always just silly and fun. Slowly they became more and more choreographed until it became the norm. I'm hoping that it becomes more half-half like this for more groups in the future.

That's because she *is.* K-Pop idols are always performing, because what you see is their idol persona; not their complete self. It's why you see less idols talk about their personal life, mental health, and other things along that line. An "idol" is someone that takes on being a role model, celebrity crush, etc.

Perhaps with time we'll see them dispose of the persona and just come from the complete self in all interactions. That would be a breath of fresh air and more powerful.
