I love going through your records and still seeing the 8 SMB3 Records you took from me almost 2 years ago, untouched. It's a true relic from the past!

Royru made an uno mas based on the triple jump eating the input. You can twirl before the third jump to keep the input.

So about the 3 jump thing not letting you use the hammer or boomerang. This probably happens because 3D world takes the base code from new supe, which has a triple jump. The triple jump doesn’t show, but maybe it’s a hidden code that prevents using a power during a triple jump.

@@MakerManX I wasn’t too sure what it was dependant on, I always just thought it was the clear rate there was a time on stream where Panga got a triple-shell-jump level in expert, so he played it for like 30 minutes and kept failing then afterwards the level was moved to super expert when he checked, so after that I thought it was just the clear rate that determined it Maybe loads of other people were playing at the same time though idk you might be right

This is actually a super funny speedrun because mm2 randomness is set when the level is uploaded, so every rng string is the same, but your inputs affect where in the string it uses to decided meowsers actions and this level in particular happens to have the perfect string to consistently mess you up.

As a french person, I can confirm that what Panga said was way better than 90% of the people trying to get a decent pronunciation without it sounding stereotypical as hell.

Could that hammer bug be due to not programming out triple jumps from 3d world properly? Like for some reason although you’re not triple jumping you end up in triple jump state that can’t be interrupted for whatever reason

Isn't the RNG in SMM2 based off of input and resets every time you restart the level? So if you're doing the exact same run over and over, you'll get the same Bowser behaviour

Yeah but small changes between inputs will cause different RNG, so unless you're TAS levels of consistent, it's not reliable

@@iwinrar5207 rng manip is only feasible when you have precise control over the inputs, and when you know precisely which particular inputs you must do. In this case, only the beginning of the level needs to be maniped, so it's not infeasible, but until we know the inputs there's not much we can do.

You think the 3 consecutive jumps dropping your input has to do with the jank of this game and how it thinks you're doing a triple jump like in NSMBU mode. I don't think you can throw stuff when your triple jump animation is happening iirc
