Lil Cease Returns To Biggie's Block 20 Years After 'Ready to Die'

This Saturday (Sept. 13) marks the 20th anniversary of one of hip-hop's most groundbreaking albums, The Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die. And around these parts, we tend to get nostalgic when these kinds of milestone anniversaries approach.
For Illmatic's 20th bornday in April, we asked Nas' brother Jungle to give us a tour of the Queensbridge streets (and childhood apt.) that inspired the classic LP. And now, we've recruited Biggie's baby brother from another, Lil' Cease, to walk us through the now-gentrified Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn, where Christopher Wallace grew up into one of hip-hop's biggest legends.
Take a trip down memory lane with Cease A Leo as he revisits Big's old stoop, remembers supplying Tupac with guns hidden in shoeboxes, and recalls his first encounter with the Notorious One. -John Kennedy

The people who live in that area now would have never even thought of passing through here 20 years ago

U can tell why Cease lived thru the yrs and made it alive. Very wise, kind and loving individual. when he recollected a Pac moment "whenever Pac came around here I used to pick him up, make sure he was safe in brooklyn" that was pure love. Cease made sure he worked on his body too make sure if anybody thot he was lil he was tough too😬🤝😆

1 thing about biggie unlike most rapper he never forgot his roots and loved where he came from for him walking down the road or block as they say in the USA the reason he walked down the block was he was a inspiration to people he was an ambassador of nyc and him talking with people having time he was trying to inspire normal everyday people like us you can achieve anything if you work hard he gave people hopes and dreams legend humble one of the greatest if only he was still here today R.I.P MR Biggy you elevated the game to what it has become your legacy will never die always be remembered as a legend like Elvis arteta Franklin Michael Jackson list goes on but I’m sure everyone agrees with me some people will always live on after death
