Lil Bibby on Signing Juice Wrld, Cries Over Juice Dying, Quitting Rap (Full Interview)

Ойын-сауық

Lil Bibby came through for another VladTV interview, and this time around he managed to get DJ Vlad to do a very rare on-camera appearance. Since it had been some years since his last interview, Bibby shared his story from the beginning, growing up in Chicago and seeing his peers getting attention in the rap world. Seeing them get some success, Bibby decided to start rapping, but he admits that he was never chasing fame.
Lil Bibby went on to speak about signing Juice Wrld after his brother showed Bibby his music, and he knew the late artist would be huge after hearing "Lucid Dreams." Bibby detailed his relationship with Juice Wrld, which he said was often complicated by Juice Wrld's drug use, and Bibby explained how he tried to get him to go to rehab and get clean. Bibby then got emotional while speaking about Juice Wrld's death and going to his funeral, which was the first time he had been to a funeral in years, despite losing a lot of friends. To hear more, including if Bibby will release more music, hit the above clip.

It shows another side of Bibby weve never seen being emotional cuz how much he cared about Juice and Cherished their journey together. It shows Bibbys lack of understanding and ability to relate to drug addiction. But Bibbys tears prove how much he loved and how much he misses Juice. Amazing nterview with multiple layers!

Sounds like Juice was crying out for help but because our people don’t acknowledge mental illness as real in our culture it gets swept under the rug vs being acknowledged and treated. My heart goes out to everyone who knew this young man but couldn’t help him the way he needed it. It turned to pills to numb his pain. Rest now, the fight is over 🙏🏾.

Juice is the most important rapper and lyricist ever to me. When I listen almost every fucking word feels like it’s coming out of my own soul….like it was made just for me. He’s half my age and I did a lot of time so I missed his life and music as it happened until he was already gone.. but once I found it and til the day I die.. no one will ever make music that means to me what his does. R.I.P Juice. You’re the 🌎
