You have to understand, this music isn't supposed to be conventional hip hop or rap music, it's based music. It's a different genre, sure his flow is different and he doesn't always rhyme. His beats, harmony, passion, and positivity have the power to make me stop caring about his flaws. His flaws don't make his music bad at all, that just means that his music is different. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I happen to be a person who finds beauty in Lil b's different style.

LIL B. - G4 Shit

Once I got over he wasn't being serious in those songs, I listened to what people were referring to as his "real" songs that actual have lyrical content and power. I've listened to "Mypsace" and "Motivation" and a few others and while he is actually talking about stuff, and it is positive or excuse me "based" it just isn't very good. His rhymes are for the most part simple and he has horrendous flow in my opinion. Does he have good intentions and a good mindset about life and is real? Yes

You're wrong because Lil B is able to do that if he wants to. I can honestly say he doesn't try his hardest, even is his real songs. Why? I don't know. Also his lyrics do make you search deeper, if you can accept him. His music is definitely not something you would hear from other artists like asap because it is a different genre. If you don't like country, should you bash on it? No because it's still respectable music. Same thing here. This music doesn't appeal to you & that doesn't make it bad

Explain why so many people like his "joke" songs like Ellen and Breathe Slow etc. And why those songs are the majority of what Lil B puts out. I think he's proving a point that our generation will literally buy into and eat up any garbage that rap artists throw out there nowadays and it's working. But is he able to present his thoughts in a clever and talented way with deep rhyming schemes that make you think and search deeper? No, I feel that he is wildly overrated. He should be a blogger or something explaining things or even a poet if he still wants to rhyme but as far as a talented artists who conveys these messages in unique and thought provoking ways while rhyming and having good flow he is not up there at all. His real songs are too surface and in my opinion aren't that impressive
