This is fantastic!! I definitely don’t think it’s Boca but some people are pushing him as much as Dean and Brandl lately. Hopefully we will get and answer at some point soon. With so many lostwave songs being solved lately, this one’s long long overdue!

Christian Brandl's voice has little similarities, but sounds quiet deeper, even with the low pitch of the song. Alvin Dean still sounds most similar to the singer of TMMS.

How has it taken someone so long to have the sense to do this instead of relying on conjecture?

I’m far from saying it’s definitely anyone - I believe an amateur band from the Hamburg area is most likely - but one similarity between TMV and Alvin Dean is their tendency to sound mush-mouthed, especially at the end of phrases. I think TMV has a stronger accent than SiM-era Alvin - if he had moved back to Australia (as he is believed to have done after SiM broke up) before recording this, then I would expect him to sound more comfortable singing in English than in the SiM days, whereas I think TMV sounds less comfortable. That said, one possibility- if it is indeed Alvin - is that he didn’t write the song and was only passingly familiar with the lyrics - that, plus Alvin’s unusual phrasing, would explain the seeming hesitance that we hear in places. I could see this being the case if he had become too drugged-up for his professionalism to be reliable, or if it were some sort of demo (maybe just an example of a certain style) to shop to TV execs for use in shows or commercials, with the intention of providing a more polished version if they were selected. (Or maybe it was for background music for, e.g., a bar scene in a show, in which case the clarity of the lyrics wouldn’t be as important.)

Alvin Dean is just a similar sounding vocalist. There is no reason to invest in his supposed link to TMS. There is no circumstantial evidence connecting him.

There is. SIM was active in 1982 and broke up soon after in 82/83, it could be that Like the Wind is a demo song Alvin made in 1984 after he split from the band

I vote for Christian Brandl, he sounds more similiar to my ears...

None of them imo... Brandl has a natural low/baritone voice, while TMS's singer kind of adds deepness through vocal techniques

Yeah, it's none of these three. Boca and Christian especially don't sound anything like him. To my ears, Alvin Dean sounds the most similar, but he still sounds different enough that I don't think it's him.
