i love the yakuza series and played lad 8 120 hours , the story starts great but i dont like the whole palekana sect shit a radioactive-waste facility on an island wtf.... i want a yakuza gangsta vibe story and not a storyline about a sect , so when the parties split i enjoyed kiryus parts way more . i think a yakuza game outside of japan wasnt also a good idea ,honolulu doesnt felt immersive when alsmost everyone speaking perfect japanese, a gta game wouldnt also work outside of usa, but at the end of the day i enjoyed the game

While I do prefer the previous Like A Dragon overall, infinite wealth is definitely an improvement in the gameplay (combat) department. Infinite wealth’s biggest short coming imo was with some of its narrative choices, especially towards the end with some of its characters. Other than that, great game, would recommend. Edit: Heads up to anyone reading this, I talk about some pretty big spoilers in the replies.

I really disliked how flat Ichiban felt in this one. We got his goofy/friendly side, but they oddly forgot about him going berserk in 7. It's not character growth if they don't have him atleast struggle with holding himself back(especially when a guy hurts your mom and jokes about hurting a kid).

I’m not usually fond of characters that are forgiving to a fault, but it did not take long for me at all to warm up to Ichiban, charismatic and relatable goof that he is. In this game however I swear they dumbed him down, he definitely had more depth as a character in the first game like you said. Now they have made him dangerously naive, at least for the main story, I’ve noticed he regains his intelligence in most of the side stories funnily enough. I don’t dislike him now or anything don’t get me wrong, but damn his decisions were frustrating to sit through sometimes.

@@s.silverman9864 same, I still like him just a little disappointing. They should have let him beat Eiji-chan up after we saved the girl(barely stopping himself in time). Then have us forgive him at the end.

@@depressedcheems9961 Yeah a chance to rough him up a bit should have been the least we got. You can’t write a character to be a hate sponge in a series like this and not give us the satisfaction of beating his ass. Honestly I’m convinced that there was supposed to be another chapter or two before the finale. I mean how are we supposed to believe that Eiji traveled back to Japan and grew his hair and a beard to the point that he looks like a completely different character, all in the span of like 2-3 days?

No interaction with zhao and seonhee with ichiba and introducing han and zhao so late, the ending where the whole purpose of the game is to see his mom which they dont even show her in the epilouge, and Kiryu dragging the game on despite having closure in gaiden annoyed me. Still a solid game and I think its amazing.

If I bought the game, I rather play it on dub. Not because YongYea voice acted Kiryu, I just like Ichiban’s English VA (yes, call me biased if you want)

7:04 honestly yakuza like a dragon was (IN MY OPINION MANDATORY DISCLAIMER) the weakest game in the series because like: The gameplay is boring and poorly thought out (and no it's not turn based bad it's actually just you hit enemies that's it lol and you can deal more damage with weaknesses WOW never seen that before) The grinding is obnoxious and way to insane and everything besides the arakawa storyline sucks (especially mirrorface fuck plotdevice in human form) This concludes my 50th rant about why i do not like a dragon yakuza (wait what i think i messed something up here) the short edition. Trust me i have a 2 oaragraph rant on the steam reviews lol =: (And yes i am taking every chance to hate on this game)
